Dave Tipping Posted January 26, 2012 Share Posted January 26, 2012 ... I picked up my Laney NX115 today and gave it blast with my Terror Bass head. WOW .. I physically couldn't get the amp upto 12'oclock. Seriously great tone and serious air shifting ... only slight issue is when it was cranked the vibrations were causing the amp head to dance about on top of the cab! To the extent that I would be concerned at gig volume that the head would eventually hit the floor. I'm used to pretty heavy gear so this is a first for me! Any suggestions for a nifty way to damp the vibrations between the two? I could obviously sit the head on the floor .. but that's not really solving the problem .. just avoiding it. Dave Tipping Posted January 27, 2012 Author Share Posted January 27, 2012 You'll not believe this ... I had the exact camping mat sitting next to my amp last night. Not anymore, I cut it up and used it to protect the ampeg head I'm sending to a fellow BC'r. I'll see if I can find a black one, I'll possibly Velcro it onto the cab to keep it tidy. Monckyman Posted January 28, 2012 Share Posted January 28, 2012 I like to go for quality over quantity I have a half inch thick bit of flightcase foam in a square that can sit under the amp, just gives it grip and a little suspension.
