It has the ashtray cover over the bridge but missing the pickup cover which I wouldn't mind replacing. He reckons the old pickup cover used to have the F sign on it. That can't be right can it? I thought the old covers were plain. Ps the pickups have sunk and the rubber/foam needs replacing underneath. Is the official stuff any different from standard weather strip rubber? Cat Burrito Posted November 4, 2011 Share Posted November 4, 2011 Purely as a point of interest 1976 was something of a transitional year at Fender (change of serial number position etc) and because it was the Bi-centenary year the 76s are always of interest to collectors.
