  4. love my sterling. I have a sterling and stingray and i like to compare the differences of the two as per the jazz and p-bass. One with a sleek fast neck and more tonal options compared to the fatter traditional set up. There is something beasty about the stingray that the sterling misses. May just be the size.
  5. Hi. sorry to be a pain but have you got a web link to the pics? i get this weird message saying "please upgrade your account to 3rd party hosting" instead of the picture.
  6. That is a cracker. Have you got any close up pics of the nut and where u shimmed? Also can you provide more details of your repairs. Was it literally just a sand down of the cracked paintwork? Cheers
  7. Hi I bought a 5 string pack that were on special offer to fit on my 4 string warwick. Not a huge fan so only played very light at home for a hour or so. They are the light gauge - 045 - .130 The E-G strings have been cut to fit my warwick 2+2 headstock. Each string had around 4 wounds on the tuning peg so might fit a fender esq headstock - i can measure the strings individually if interested. The B has not been cut and is unused Cheers, ben

  13. Hi Ive always found it incredibly tiring to play my usa sterling due to the pickup being close to the bridge as with all musicman's. My fav position to anchor is the neck pickup on a Jazz. Ive tried the floating hand technique or anchoring on the e string on my MM but i struggle with those. Just wondering if i was being weak or have others noticed it? Toyed with the idea of gluing a finger rest on the stratchplate but it looks odd on a MM. Cheers
