wesfinn
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1964-Fender-Jazz...e2#ht_500wt_922 Been through a hell of a lot this neck! still about £200 more than it should be! love the way the seller has worded it to sound like he doesn't know anything about it but really does. Should say 'butchered beyond belief, headstock is 90% original, truss rod probably doesn't work as someone has tried to drill it out, refretted very badly and probably isn;t the best sounding neck I;ve ever heard!' Jean-Luc Pickguard
Here we have an original Pre-CBS 1964 Fender Jazz Bass Neck.
Original?
Looks like the headstock had some parts of it replaced.
No 'Looks like' about it - it has. Perhaps the logo part was sawn off to go onto a new neck which replaced this broken one.
Don't know if it's the orginal nut?
I bet he does know & it isn't or he wouldn't have mentioned it
I don't know if the trussrod turns
I bet he does know & it doesn't or he wouldn't have mentioned it
Don't know if deadspots or buzzing?
I bet he does know & it does or he wouldn't have mentioned it
I can say that out of all the necks I've ever played over the years this is the best sounding neck I've ever owned.
I can say I'm the Emporer of the Universe, but it doesn't make it true
As this is a vintage neck please no returns and being sold as is.
I wouldn't want this piece of crap coming back either Someone with more money than sense has got themselves an ugly ornament. Maybe it's my eyes but is the raduis of the fretboard not look a little off centre?
I noticed that. Also the skunk stripe looks a bit pist on the pic of the heel.
