A Pedal To Add Just A Little Bit Of Grit?

Okay, hi guys.

I'm a day away (when I'm paid) form pulling the trigger on an Ashdown MAG 300H EVO II and matching 210 Cab, (at a later date adding a 410 as well).

From what I've heard and read these amps give a good clean tone, but I don't always want a clean tone :)

So, are there any pedals about that will add just a bit of grit? I don't want full on fuzz, I have that covered with my ME 20B, but said pedal cannot do grit.

If it makes any difference my main instruments are an MIM P bass and a Vintage EJM 96 (Jazz copy).

Thank in advance.

Yahtzee.

P.S. This is the kinda tone I would be looking for, maybe a tad less dirty. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ESF6rKVFJQ...feature=related

I would (and have) gone for Durham Electronics Sex Drive. Unbelievably great tone and works equally well on guitar and bass

Wound up these provide that 'on the edge' SVT sound, very 'grindy' and the two levels of compression work nice (which can be bypassed)

I ended up going with the Aguilar Agro recently as I got tired of doing repair works on the English Muff'n. Good pedal, adds a bit of grit and can do some good full on fuzz too. Could do with a blend mind, but nice for a bit of grit that doesn't colour your sound as much as the Sansamp Bass Driver, which is also a great pedal.
