keeponehandloose Posted October 23, 2010 Share Posted October 23, 2010 Ive had GAS for a good few months now,and the cash to cure it,but have yet to take the plunge on my dream purchase. I am in a dark place as to spend the money selfishly,or put it to a better cause ie the house/family. I try to only spend on GAS the gig money I earn(give or take the odd £100 or so) and this is still the case.Its not like I need anything ,but it was always the "next" thing on the horizon.Now I can get it ,do I really want it? Gas is a strange thing, as musicians I think most of us will get it every now and then. Its hard to keep gigging every week you need to treat yourself now and then. So, go for it Bet you've put plenty of time and effort into other matters and I personally think every now and then, if you have the opportunity, put yourself 1st. Good luck. Karl. I just got bored and checked out other acronyms for GAS and for Gear Acquisition Syndrome it has after in brackets (mainly bass guitarists).
