Is it actually pink? Or just a really weird picture of an orange one?

A Super Light VM5 with light relic is probably the dream for me...

Anyone intrigued by the Bantam 5? Interesting that it's 32" not a full on short scale...

I'm normally a fan of fancy finishes but that looks a bit lost, like they couldn't decide whether to go quilted or burl 😅 of course others obviously love it and more power to ya!

It's always tempting to want to upgrade something as it is perceived as "cheap"
But you get so much for your money these days that sometimes upgrades aren't necessary at all!

Depends if you want a modern or vintage tone? Some UK based guys do custom pickups at very reasonable prices like Catwhisker or the Creamery. Also might be worth playing stock for a while and seeing what it does/doesn't do for you.

Just spotted this on No Treble - a Carbon Fiber necked bass for under £700...

However, they are also taking preorder for nearly every other stringed instrument under the sun so this could be a case of spreading themselves too thin. Always cool to see new things though.

I totally get what you mean after having a bass VI, but part of the tone and charm of the VI is from the thinner strings and pickups in combination, which won't be the same on a 4 string version

I looked into these a while back as I love Sandbergs and they are definitely aiming for that market with these. The consensus was:
-Good quality fit and finish
-Tend to be heavy
-Preamp is a bit naff

Oh exciting, I was very close and the options look extensive and they are willing to be "flexible" on shipping and import....
Look forward to hearing about yours!

Do we know if there are any places like Limelight that would relic an instrument you already own for you? I've got a burgundy Sire incoming and would like it to look more Betsy-ish

Could be the angle, but that humbucker doesn't look straight..... 😅
But throw some cream pickup covers on that 😍

Mine was the Yamaha Attitude. I was properly into shred stuff when I was younger and that was The One. Tried it and it just didn't fit with me.
Next was the Ken Smith - neck was fantastic but again I didn't get that feeling. Part of it is possibly because those two basses are pretty complex and need more time than just trying in a shop/trying a friend's bass.

Bbn4 (1) - that bridge is what I have on my bb414, they’re on these and the early attitudes.
the 3+1 headstock caused EB to get hot under the collar and yamaha had to change it.
@Al Krow And conveniently there's one on eBay right now https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Beautiful-bass-guitar-great-quality-excellent-sound-/303955417110?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286

Thread resurrection.
Anyone in here able to make one for a Sire V7? Would like it to be removable as I've not had one before so not sure if it will work for me or not?

Dropped you a PM.... 😅

. I had to buy/try/sell a lot of basses to narrow that spec down, tho...
This for me is the hurdle, I would love an ACG/Sei/Shuker but I would have no idea where to even begin. I don't think I've spent enough time with enough basses to even know what I would want them to make.
Just another excuse to try and buy more things 😂

That looks incredible! Never ceases to amaze me how good ACGs can look

Am I losing my marbles or didn't this same discussion happen in relation to the same model bass a while back? Are EBMM simply issuing them 50 at a time a year or so apart?
That was his first signature bass

To be fair for Vulfpeck, a lot of Dart's tone comes from post production and live he tends to stay pretty consistent so he doesn't really need a tone or volume.
But selling it for more than the one with more features, that's a bold move and it's paid off (for 50 sales at least 😂)

Depends on what he plans to use it for. If it's for recording, find a good passive P Bass, an older Yamaha BB would be great.
If he wants something a bit more fancy then Sire will do it, they even have short scale models now for which might help the transition
