Well. Guess you're getting new sofas then! 😁

Do we know if these are the same pickups that are in the Mezzo? Tempted to go for a shorter scale 5 string but not sold on the SR shape or the pickup placement
-
Still not a huge fan of the SR shape, but I'm really enjoying my Bronco mod and my Kingston 35" 5er just feels a bit cumbersome. How do owners find the bridge pickup? It looks a bit far from the bridge for my liking, does it still do the bridge J noise reasonably well?

Has anyone played the V5 passive and have also played a V7. Wondering how they compare?
I keep trying to avoid wanting one but curiosity is getting the better of me...

Another bass I don't understand how it's still here? For all I know, these are every bit as good as the Sterling range and they don't do this classic natural look.

Have a read of this thread. It's just a few posts down 😅

I had an electra VS4 and it was so good. I just didn't want a P Bass and it was hugely impractical and costly to add a MM pickup to it.
Fit and finish was Sandberg quality and hardware is exactly the same. I'm as big a fan of the TT shape but it will be very good I'm sure of it.

Happy to collect and organise shipping if the seller can't do that for you @Al Krow 😅

Have to say, it speaks for the quality, quick search of eBay/Gumtree and there are remarkably few used ones available. Considering these are on back order new it means they are being kept!

They do but in the 10 series, double the cost.
And that's where I lose interest, the whole thing is the value for money, not the fancy finish.

Every time a Sire thread gets started, my resolve gets slightly thinner....wish the did the roasted maple from the V5 with the active preamp... 😅

This site was suggested in another thread

£110 for a custom routed body seems pretty reasonable!

That looks ace! Will see if I can justify sneaking it into house... 😅

Solid choice, even if you don't use it too often it's so useful and if you do sell it you won't lose much at all.

Has anyone use the 3" DiMarzio cliplock straps? Quite like the idea of being able to have one strap for multiple guitars

Zoom B1on
Super cheap and you get the bonus of an effects pedal as well as a drum machine.

And it's now fitted!
I think the original looks better but the lack of adjustability is too annoying. All set up and intonated (kind of). It's sharp down at the first 3 frets, especially on the E so a new nut is in order I think.
Also looking at a P90 rather than a classic humbucker, it would still be a humbucker but just in a vintage style cover 😅

Anyone able to help Andy over there?

I received a bass from them in 6-7 days including a weekend, door-to-door. Not bad considering customs clearance and it being delayed in Frankfurt for 2 days (presumably exit customs). However UPS were still showing delivery tomorrow when the van rocked up. I’d not had any invoice for Duty and VAT so had to hurriedly ring the local depot and pay.
How much in a rough percentage was it you had to pay? Eyeing up a Harley Benton....

Something that has probably come up before, but does Japan house every single bass in the world?😅
OK, I exaggerate. But every time I search for a bass, there seems to be multiple available from Japan or Japan based dealers. Is this actually the case or are they mostly fake ads to direct traffic to eBay pages or other websites?
-
Thanks both, I'll send off some emails and see what can be done!

So I could go for the Serek - but if there anyone in the UK that would be able to do something similar? I love the way this looks but $175+shipping and taxes makes it quite expensive....Any Suggestions?

Thanks for that. I'd be tempted to route a bit more and stick either a double JJ or humbucker in there so I can get a proper bridge tone and just a bit more flexibility.
