1.
I was there yesterday and tried all the Laklands. I was buying a fiver so it was mainly those we tried but that 44-01 sounded really nice mate! You wont be dissapointed I promise. I was with EBS_freak who has an amazing selection of gear and he was very impressed too infact the cheapest Lakland was the nicest out the bunch. We both loved the 55-02 and over all its a better bass than a Ray but Im a sucker for Rays so I got one of them instead from PMT round the corner. Guitar Guitar were really good, I told him we were on a whistle stop tour for 5 strings and until we had been round all the shops I wasnt parting with any cash and they were happy to let us try everything out and left us to it, He even bought us a few stands over so we could swap basses around easier which was a nice touch and less chance of there gear getting dropped etc. I will certainly go back next time the gas comes knocking. Let us know what you think when it comes, It sounded ace to me but just not quite the sound Im used to and for the extra cash to go up to the 55-02 especially with a maple top (£100 more) I was getting nearer Ray5 money so thats the way I went.
Thanks mate, i too tryed it out first in guitar guitar but was only noddling around for about 20 mins as i wasnt seriously considering buying it till recently and yes it sounds very nice and the neck isnt too slim or too thick. Its kinda inbetween a P and a Jazz bass neck profile wise which i loved. Also the active eq is great, the build quality was top and it just looks very high end and lovely. I cant wait till it arrives plus the day its due is the day i start my holidays till mid january Wooo!!!!
 2. Jbarks just bought my rickenfaker. Great contact, quick easy payment, patient guy and just generally great Thanks again mate

 4. Thanks panther and Iconic I've only ever tryed a 44-01 and a 55-01. 5 string just wasn't for me. Nice tight B string though. Not a big fan of green but that jazz is sexy as!
 5. Thanks guys for posting. One more question this time about the lakland. It says that u can pull the master volume knob for the tone control bypass I think. What does tht mean. Passive?

I didn't place the order as I handle my GAS better these days but he said any order placed before 2pm is despatched same day.
Well I did say that I would prefer it arrived Wednesday and the guy phoned me up and confirmed that and he has arranged that it should ideally all being well with the weather arrive Wednesday

Why not try some flyleaf, dead simple riffs all around.. and it's always good to bring the dirt with "im so sick". Cassie may appeal more to you though? :L Tell you what, thats the first time EVER ive recommended a christian band haha! Awesome live.
Christian bands rule! I know coz i play in one kinda

 18. How is it possible for me to love this bass that much???
 19. Yeh all bronco basses are short scale. I found it strange aswell but pretty fast. Sorry it couldnt be of more pleasure to u
 20. Its strange but i feel most basses can slap anyway eg my Jim Deacon P bass special has a nice slap tone through my 30 w practice amp. Its really IMO what type of tone u want rather than what bass but of course active differs alot from passive. I feel again IMO that u have more control slapping a passive bass than an active tone wise. Also how new the strings are on the bass affects the slap tone. ps Larry Graham's tone rules
 21. I had the four string version of this and i can say its a cracking bass and stupidly light but still holds its resonance and sustain as heavier basses. Fast neck, chunky tone and great slap tone i found. Mine was in black though plus the LEDS in the knobs are funky as!!! Bump on me

 23.
I think it needs a penguin face cartoon pickguard
Hows that bass treating u jose?
 24.
Having perused the Guitar store over the last few years, I would be wary of what you buy there. They sell some right tat in there along with some decent stuff to be fair. I would always be wary of spending that kind of money on a bass from a shop. Better with a Westfield or go along to CC Music in the West end and get a Jim Deacon. Don`t get me wrong, the bass may be okay but there was a Squire affinity on Glasgow Gumtree for £65 I think it was. Really good bass and perfect for modding. Jez
I have a jim deacon!!! P bass special But I like the way it sounds so maybe some advice on cosmetic mods maybe.
