  1. 21/22/2017 - try catching up on the thread before commenting. I think I have covered off the DSP stuff a lot of time. I even put a video where there a cab where the response of the cab, through DSP, was shown to be flat - measuring using SMAART. Anyway, to address the speaker comment. It all comes down to economies of scale - PA speakers sold in higher numbers, therefore the price to performance ratio can be better on larger production lines. Yes, you can theoretically design FRFR passive cabs - but at a greater cost than you could by correcting a cab through DSP. Spoiler - a lot of the passive cabs that are advertised as FRFR - are from it.
  2. She was probably the one person there that could have restored some sense of order.
  3. I saw her and can hazard a guess what is going on. What I think we are seeing, is the the girl in the coat having got in early on the ticket front, securing ring side seats to get as close to the experience as possible. Gabrielle gets to the last song, you know, that Dreams one hit wonder thing that she dines out on - and all social distancing goes out the window. "Ah well, doesn't matter if we get chucked out now, we've seen the show now" mentality probably kicking in with all the meatheads on the front row and aisles (outside the gated areas). Complete f***wits.
  4. Hardwick Hall need a good slapping - look at all this nonsense - They can not possibly manage that many people as clearly shown in the video. The FULLY TRAINED STEWARDS are clearly ineffective. I'm all for getting gigging back on it's feet - but this does not do anything to help the cause.
  5. Indeed. Will be watching how this one pans out. This venue has quite a bit planned in its calendar.
  6. Working out that good then? The UK can’t be trusted to do anything right.
  7. Excellent work.
  8. Oh for sure. Maybe next time, I'll tap the tour manager on the shoulder... psst, you do realise you could get this off eBay much cheaper?
  9. They're called submarines. I think.
  10. Build quality, balanced outputs, encryption, range, RF stability and dual diversity, discrete tuning, more intermodulation free operating frequencies (more channels using less spectrum), low latency, dynamic range, IP rating, ethernet configuration for remote configuration and monitoring, international spares availability, digital outputs (e.g. Dante) for audio over IP... just some of the differences that come to mind!
  11. Oh man. That brings back bad memories. I got covered in err... lube, baby oil or whatever it was... when I got caught in the "flicking of the di*k" routine whilst packing up my bass gear once. Hen parties. Not great.
  12. Flesh coloured. Blends nicely.
  13. I've just landed my first strip club gig so I guess you could say that I'm in the same boat.
  14. Plot twist. Band is rehearsing. With a different bassplayer. Has @MacDaddygot a new band already?
  15. You don’t need to be with other people to keep enhancing your craft. Get some practice on, learn more theory. Open up the fretboard so when the opportunities arrive, you are a much better player. Sitting in a room with musicians won’t bring on your playing if nobody is pushing the boundaries of their own playing. I get the whole thing about playing for enjoyment - but there’s a hell of a lot of things that we can’t do normally at the moment... but we can make the most of what we do have.
  16. Having read the exchange back numerous times, I have to say you come across a little passive aggressive too.
  17. Let me address the elephant in the room... rehearse.... for what gigs? at the moment it’s not really worth falling out over. It’s not as if there’s gigs aplenty - and if there are gigs, it’s not as if they are well attended.
  18. Steve Zissou is alive and well!
  19. That doesn’t surprise me - it sounded very flat to me hence why I was intrigued to see if there was any preamp trickery involved.
  20. Not the sort of stuff I’d normally listen to but super nice sounding rig- I can see why you are digging on your setup. What you using on your Helix? The combination with the hollow body is really doing it.
  21. And Trans-Island Skyway. There was a phase where Eric Clapton Unplugged was going its bit selling hifi and surround set ups... and one of the live Pete Gabriel DVDs (forget which one)
  22. Hell freezes over version of Hotel California.
