  1. Yeah, it looks OK but talk about shoddy choice of wood. Clearly this thing was thrown together... could have done with the eye of Fodera to get some decent wood that isn't just driftwood.
  2. I'll reserve judgement til I've heard them! Strong prices - but they could be ace.
  3. No.
  4. You've got two bands now... and a back line. Cmon, it's an easy decision. But then again, I am a complete gear slut.
  5. I remember her trying to justify her "nudgy nudgy" park thing when she was parking her mini infront of Evan's new Ferrari. Found a pic of the damage she did here - https://www.aol.co.uk/2011/01/28/vanessa-feltz-chris-evans-ferrari/ Although the news reports goes against what Evans told on the radio... he was jaw dropped when Vanessa defended her actions when she recalled how she keeps reversing until she feels her car "touch" the car behind and then move forward slightly. It really depresses me how people like this get famous. Can't present, can't park... what next?
  6. Look to be in decent condition and cased. 750 a piece. Not too shabby value for money.
  7. No - some are better than others... whereas some don't even have the correct mics.
  8. There's plenty of custom builders that do similar... It's a big reason why people commission basses... And for those builders that just build for stock, the wood they put out is hardly driftwood. I think Fodera is being given too much credit for choosing nice pieces of wood.
  9. So if it's not a sound thing - but more a movement of air, you may want to look into a eich bass board, a kt platform, a woojer or a backbeat.
  10. Is this true though? Or is it part of the Fodera hype that makes people think it's true?
  11. OK - is that a feeling thing for you on stage - or out front? What are your FOH speakers?
  12. For when you want your Ferrari and can't afford the new price... or you can afford it - but don't want to sit on a waiting list for months/years...? ...or both...
  13. Why aren't you using inears in the smaller venue? You won't need subs in the smaller venue - and with IEMs and PA tops that are capable of taking your bass, why aren't you just running with that...? Most decent sized PA cabs will take bass no problem - are you running quite small tops or something?
  14. I hope he's recording direct. Any mics are going to be picking up a hell of a lot of squeaks and creaks from those gig strides.
  15. When was the last time we heard a drum that wasn't augmented with samples for example...?
  16. It was tongue in cheek.
  17. So basically, the P bass goes down as a guide track so the real bass can be synthed over on top...?
  18. Trick question... a real pro would use anything to hand. I suspect Scott was just looking to get a cash injection into his Youtube earnings knowing full well that this sort of convo would spawn. How many people have gone to Youtube to view his video from this convo alone?
  19. I have probably seen/played 7 or 8 Foderas up close... and I was a little disappointed by the finish to be honest - sanding marks under the finish don't really float my boat. Wal is an interesting one. Certainly the woodwork is nothing amazing - it's the sound of the pre and pickups that get that "Wal" sound. Funny thing is, I'm not fussed for it... and I think the controls, for me at least, aren't intuitive enough for live use. Fenders are overpriced... *cough cough* Musicman. (How and why did they become so expensive...?)
  20. As if most people would even know the difference.
  21. So a rack, XR16 and a router? (It's the separate router that's annoying you isn't it? - That and you want to wire a rack panel with a power con on it! )
  22. The keywhat? That lady's outfit. Cool stagewear. Anyway, back to the guys on the left.. whats with the cuffs... and that waistcoat? I think the clothing needs to be addressed before we even start on the instruments. (Although, isn't that one of those Dingwall Thunderbirds?)
  23. There’s got to be a viral “smashed a Fodera” opportunity...?
  24. Ha! Now the fun begins. The question is though... what’s in it?
  25. That’s actually a very valid point. The new case design is actually very lovely though... Anyway, if you fancy a night of soldering club and make up lots of looms and racks, @stingrayPete1977 Is your man. (scarpers out the room)
