15.
Sorry, probably not what you want to hear, but spending money you don't have on stuff you don't need is a mug's game, imho.
Yeah, I agree that it's always best to buy when you've got the cash. If you've got a bass then just play that! I've gone down from 7 basses to 1 and am planning on down grading that one aswell!! You could say it's what comes out of the player, not the bass that's important
16. NOW WITHDRAWN DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST, IT WILL BE MOTHBALLED FOR ANOTHER TIME!!
17. HI there, just wondering if any of you know if there were different versions of the GB7 model Hipshot Bass Extender? I bought one off this forum a while back and I couldn't get it to drop to D, only Eb (there were clearance issues when using it with a Warwick 4 stringer). I then bought one off the web and this one fitted nicely and worked as it should. However they both used the Gotoh tuner as their basis. I noticed that comparing the two, the part where the original mounting hole (used to locate the tuner with a small woodscrew into the back of the headstokc) is pop-rivited onto the rotating baseplate part is in a slightly different position. If you've seen the two examples you'll know what I mean!! I think this is probably the root of the clearance problems as the different starting position limits the amount of drop available. I'm sure I've seen both variants down as GB7 on the net but was wondering if the one that needs some DIY on is the Mk1 version that Hipshot got wrong!! PS, if you buy them from the UK you'll get charged about £100, from the USA including VAT and the £8 charge that is put on by Royal Mail you'll end up paying about £60!!
18. Sold Basstool my Thumb bass, t'was a good and easy transaction with good comms. Would deal again anytime and hope he enjoys the bass!
19. Bump for a lovely set of basses. I've just gone thru the bass buying and selling phase. I've had up to 7 at once, now down to just 1!! Maybe at some point I'll get a nice fretless to match but I must say it feels quite liberating knowing that I just have to invest in my skill level now rather than worry about my collection, or lack of now!!
20. SOLD PENDING THE USUAL!!
21. Sold my Status Groove bass 5 string to Benebass, great deal and very generous giving an extra bit of cash to make sure all my expenses were covered! Recommended to deal with anytime, Thanks.
22. Bump for back for sale, please note this is NOT going to be removed until it is sold!!
23. Hi all, just wondering if there is a fix for a slightly twisted neck. Bass plays fine but neck is slightly twisted and not sure if it should be a concern?
24. This one has a different arrangement for the preamp, it's only 9V and has only one preamp. The earlier ones had two pre-amps with a bass/treble control for each of the single coils (also two batteries, hence 18V). This one has only one set of bass/treble controls for both pickups. The other variant on this one is that the volume is a push/pull pot, when you pull it there is a pre-amp bybass to true passive (handy when the battery dies mid gig). The other knob is pickup pan. I could get some nice sounds out of it when I had it, the wenge neck helped on that aswell. Worth the asking price all day long IMHO.
