Hello, I'm selling my Status Groove bass 5 string as I've recently bought another 5 string bass and can only play one at once!! It's definitley been used and has a few marks here and there on it, it's not a minter but it would make a very good gigging bass! It does play very very easily and it is nice and light for a 5 string with very good balance. Those of you who are familiar with Status know that their necks are some of the thinnest and easiest to play, no exception here folks! The sound is even across the strings and the B has some power to it. The bass is active/passive with the active having bass/treble boost/cut. When in passive mode there is only volume, however it is true passive. I'm going to ask for £300 ono, with that you'll also get a used (read a bit battered) Hiscox hard case (there is no branding on it, just nice and plain). You'd be more than welcome to come and try it out (Huddersfield, West Yorkshire), I'd be willing to post but only at the organisation and expense of the buyer. Tell me your thoughts please, James. my church fender precision (decided to be kept at church now)
jimbobothy replied to nathan bossoh's topic in Basses For Sale
I play in a church worship group aswell, my main aim is to try and funk it up as best I can though!! On a more serious point I think it's one of the best places you can play at, but I am aware that this thread started advertising a P bass and is not 'who plays at what church' thread. Anyone want to start one? -

PLEASE REMOVE AS NOW SOLD AND GONE TO A GOOD HOME!! Hi all, I've been fairly indecisive about selling recently, sorry for that, however I am now sure that this is not going to get played and is definitley up for sale. It's a 1998 Warwick Thumb NT 4 bass with a Hipshot Drop D tuner installed. Included with the sale is a new boxed set of Jonas Hellborg signature strings (40-60-80-100), the original tuner for the E string, and a nearly new Kinsman soft gig bag. It's got the Bubinga and Wenge thru neck design with 18V electronics, the neck is of a no volute design (denotes a removable truss rod) with the nut being a brass just-a-nut 1. I'm asking £850 which is more than the thread I got it from, however I'm including extras that I have added, namely a Hipshot Drop D tuner (eg. £100), Jonas Hellborg strings (eg. £35) and soft gig bag (eg. £25) and at this price I'm still loosing money on it. You're more than welcome to come and try it out (based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire). This is preferred pick up only as I would like the future owner to be sure they're happy with their purchase. At a push I could meet face to face at a reasonable mutual distance, however I would NOT be willing to post it, sorry. Hi folks, anyone know of the best balanced 5 string Warwick out there. I've tried a Thumb bolt on 5 string and Streamer Jazzman 5 string and personally found them to be too neck heavy for my liking. I'm digging the sound of the basses just the ergonomics don't agree with me. I've currently got two 4 string Warwicks but I'm needing that low B string!

I'd feel a bit of an fool turning up with, for example, a Marcus Miller Jazz and not being able to play like him!! Non signature for me folks.
