2. Hi, Looking to sell my Boss ODB-3 Overdrive Pedal, I bought this from e-bay around 6months ago and have experimented with it for certain songs at gigs, but I guess I'm just not the pedals type of guy. Its got a cosmetic mark or two, the gain knob post is slightly bent, but its in perfect working condition, I even sourced a Boss box separately on e-bay for it. I'm looking to recoup what I paid for it, thats £45.00 collected from Sunderland or £50.00 posted. Cheers Steve Now Sold Thanks
3. Very Happy with my 115Xl cab, that 2.5Xl is very tempting, have a bump on me...

Am in the market for a MIA jazz, why are you selling this bass and what's the postage cost? Cheers Steve
10. Nice bass, had a very similar copy to this many years ago and should have hung on to it. Not really a sunburst man but this takes me back... Are the blocks inlaid on this / sensible offers considered? Free bump anyway
11. Hi, I've recently aquired a Hartke HA2500 Head to go with my 115XL Cab. I'm now looking for a flight case to transport safely to gigs/practices, I like the look of 2U aliminium models with removable front and back covers to provide a permanent housing (Attached link to a Warwick case on ebay). Can anyone recommend a suitable unit, preferably around the £50 mark. Thanks Steve http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Warwick-2U-shallow-flight-case-NEW-/310220901123?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_MusicalInstr_Access_RL&hash=item483a9b4b03
12. Surprised these are still here, Good honest basses at a fair price.
13. Hi, How dinged is the Jazz Bass, noticed marks on back of the neck, are there any chips to the body? There seems to be reflection in the photos or is the black dulled / scuffed. Also no neck issues / good action? Thanks Steve
14.
As title, 250 watt Hartke head, as new, for some reason I have 2 of these. I bought the second one thinking it was a 350 w but when it arrived it err wasn't, stupid mistake on my part. With 250 watts of available power, the HA2500 will drive your small to mid-sized bass rig with incredible clarity and punch. The HA2500 features the new Hartke silver face chassis and includes a selectable passive or active input, tube emulation and solid-state pre-amps, variable compression, a 10-band graphic EQ and high/low frequency contour control. Power: 250 Watts at 4 Ohms, 180 Watts at 8 Ohms Tube Emulation & Solid-State Preamps Active and Passive Inputs Rotary Bass & Treble Contour Controls 10-Band Graphic EQ Adjustable Compression. I use mine through an 8 ohm marshall cab and it's very loud in our church. In immaculate condition with box and bit's and pieces that come with them. They're about £270 on the net, I'd like £150 delivered next day.
Hi, not sure how to send PM's but does the amplifier still have warranty, could be very interested. Regards Steve
15.
Yes it is, Completely forgot about it TBH. Cheers Dave
I was about to trial a new one of these at Sounds Live. If you're open to close offers, I'd be interested to view / try this amp out. Cheers Steve
16.
Tried this for playing jazz on my Wal and, frankly, it just doesn't deliver the bottom end. It can compete volume wise with a drummer but it is really atruggling and just doesn't sound warm enough (I have an SWR Electric Blue head and two of the GK micro bass cabs but I never use them now because I just don't like the sound. Great practice amp but gigs? Not for me. To be fair, its the speaker cabs not the amp. Not tried it with double bass yet, though, but have never heard anyone else sound good through one so would not expect it to deliver there either
Thanks Bilbo, a good friend of mine has played guitar for many years now and was dismissive of all lightweight gear especially for bass, arguing that the best sound is always achieved through traditional equipment. Selecting the right stage amp / cab is a difficult task when not fore-armed, might sound ok at low volumes in the local guitar shop but completely different on stage when it really matters, so I appreciate your comments. Regards Steve
17. Hi, I'm new to this webside, having returned to Bass after 18 years(!) absence. Am presently playing a Vintage Fender Precision through a run-of-the mill 80W Combo at home for practising, but already thinking about aquiring a stage amp for pub gigs playing as part of a rock trio. I used to employ a 4x12 Cab and 150W Carlsboro head (not valve type) for this very purpose but hated transporting this set-up at the time. I notice that things have moved on in my exile and a new generation of smaller, lightweight equipment is now available such as the Galien-Krueger MB115 lightweight Combo, which weighs in at 33lbs but has an impressive output of 200W (weblink attached). Am obviously going to try this out for sound, but I would really value opinions on this one, is it as good as traditional technology or are there downsides to it?? Thanks in advance for any comments.
