  1. im the exact same Lozz, read youre rave reviews on the Behringer before getting one, cheers yeah im goin with my ears on this one and the Behringer wins.
  2. First of all, this isn't one of the countless "which valve/tube emulation pedal is for me?" threads, ive read them all! Its more of a question of why, after loads of research,I can't hear the lovely sounds fellow basschatters and talkbassers hear and describe from their pedals. Ive owned a behringer bass di v tone (sansamp BDDI in a plastic box), Sansamp VT bass and Dave Hall VT1, all in search of that lovely tubey, bit of grind/dirt sound. I did a LOT of research (when i should have been playing bass ) and bought a Behringer (its a cheap DI after all, even if its crap, i thought). I LOVED the sound the Behringer gave me, even tho i heard it scooped mids, it sounds great to my ears, live and in the bedroom practicing. Ive since bought a VT bass and a DHA VT1 and i just can't get the same sounds, they seem to be too subtle to my ears and don't give the bass sound the same ballsy agression as the Behringer !!!!! Am I eartarded? I know there are rave reviews all over the net for all three of these tube type pedals but I can't seem to coax the same sounds out of my DHA VT or VT bass. I sold the VT bass and im very close to doing the same with the DHA VT1. I know my amp isn't great ( cheap ass Behringer Combo) but that shouldn't effect the sound THAT much should it?
  3. Sooooo tempted by this but don't have finances at the moment. That will hopefully change in next few days tho. I'll keep u posted. Give it a bump if she's goin on eBay anytime soon:)
  4. Had same experience as Matt (above), got DHA VT-1 from same thread. Sams a sound guy and was prompt with postage with item professionally packaged.
  5. Ridonculous value for money! I need a job:)
  6. Alister bought some bass player magazines from me. Nice guy, prompt payment and good communication.
  7. good call on KT Tunstall, getting an education here on slow tunes i haven't heard
  8. bump for price drop £3.25 each further discounts on bundles, 5 for £15, 10 for £30 any less than this and I might as well call over to your gaff, put the mags in a neat pile on your coffee table, pour you a brew and read youre favourite articles to you! (rant is based on shipping costs and desire to get these shifted )
  9. bump for a great pedal. Alas I have no funds. Apparently the Fulltone OCD has better bottom end than the Fulltone MOSFET driver so this modded clone should be a great pedal on bass. your soundcloud clip sounds great btw, better than 99% of the clips on the official website! Good luck with the sale mate.
  10. Bump, will listen to sensible offers for these. PM me if interested.
  11. Also very interested in this if sale with Steve doesn't work out.
  12. Hi there, intrigued by the Daniel D tube preamp, can you shed a little more light on this, how does it compare to e.g. a Dave Hall VT1, any reviews on bass?
  13. well that was an absolute steal! wish i got paid sooner
  14. watchin people on youtube play the songs is good for me. just learnt fairytale of new york by watchin some kid play it and scribblin down rough notes. few nice wee runs etc in it and im playin it on thurs night so had to get it in my head quick! tab is quick and easy but sometimes feels like cheatin and i never fully learn a song without weening myself back off it again. run it over and over and get it in the muscle memory! good luck
  15. On hold, sale pending. That was quick!
  16. Hi, selling my VT bass, its the original first version without the speaker emulation defeat button . This pedal has been getting rave reviews here and on talkbass and im sure fellow basschatters know how good it is. Selling as its not 100% the sound I want and im looking into getting a pedal with a valve in it ( maybe a Dave Hall VT pedal) so this one has to go unfortunately. I bought it off bassybill in Sept for £80 and gigged it 4 times since so im charging £80 inc postage from Northern Ireland. Tradewise, Id only really be interested in a trade for a DHA VT 1 plus some cash my way. I dont have the original tin for it but still have the manual and will obviously provide a box for shipping etc Thanks for looking, Michael
  17. Bump for price drop, £3.50 each, two for £6 etc. The bigger the bundle, the bigger your discount!
  18. if I get a part time job in the next few days ill be all over this! wicked cheap for a great head!
  19. BUMP I may be way off the mark with pricing here, its negotiable if anyone wants to drop me a PM pricing is based on ebay searching and comparison and the postage charge from Northern Ireland. Thanks
