  1. One word: finance
  2. Thanks 4000 My real question is are the new specials worth 2k?
  3. Decided to keep the G and L and sell for cash. Got my eye on this beauties, the sr5 looks awesome
  4. Thanks for replies guys. Sounds like a great option
  5. Guys, anyone own/have owned a US Sub from the 00s? Theres one locally for around 600 quid and I have an m2000 i might part ex for it. I hear they ate heavy, have the old school 2 band eq and aren't far of the US Ray's. I have a ray34 I love to death but its 3eq. Is there much difference or am I buying the same bass again?
  6. Watched it, lobster is a sound lad for a crustacean
  7. They have a classic like above for sale in andertons at moment, 1600 quid. Tempted. I have a ray34 which I love but would love to try a US
  8. The l2000 tribute orange is down to 499 in andertons. Lovely looking bass.
  9. The pharaoh gold is beautiful. Enjoy.
  10. Pmtonline.co.uk?
  11. I sort of feel the same, they look the absolute balls and I sound like Flea slapping but still feel a bit off playing wise. I love the grunt out of my ray34, would love to try a US for the craic but my wallet disagrees!
  12. I love my sterling ray 34, only recently got bitten by the ray bug. Anyone play one of these? https://www.andertons.co.uk/bass-dept/bass-guitars/modern-bass-guitars/second-hand-music-man-stingray-classic-coral-red-4-string-bass
  13. Also https://reverb.com/item/40810197-sterling-ray-35 Even after tax that's good value
  14. Unrelated but there's a lovely HH 4 string in guitarguitar.co.uk at minute. 799, bargain.
  15. Sounds amazing Even the P is modern sounding?
  16. Keir Would be interested in trying the ray34 CA, didn't know there was a jazz neck version!! Yeah I can't justify USA prices when I can get USA tone from ray34
  17. @TheGreek thats a good price Funny thing is the SUB 4 has a nicer neck, 38mm nut so if you stuck a 34 preamp (£150) in it you'd have a great bass too! Thanks
  18. Del, this is Michael, think I was talking to you before on adverts.ie If you send it to NI you can get around this if you have any relatives up there.
  19. @tegs07 I love it!! The 34/35 has different preamp to the sub ray4 etc. To my ears sounds like a stingray. All I want now is another one!!!
  20. Soundwise, they sound exactly like Ray. Build quality maybe not but I love my Ray34 to death.
  21. Shop around for a ray35, you'll find ones for 600-700 on reverb. There's one on here for £550ish! They are great instruments, I have a ray34 and it grunts, growls and sparkles like the stingray 4. You'll be lucky to get a SR5 under a grand. Only positive in full fat is resale
  22. Nice, m2000 are lovely
