  1. I know and I hate chunky necks!! still want the big pickups though!
  2. That bass is beautiful. On the hunt for black/maple L2000 tribute, unfortunately the US is too much too afford the MFDs sound like they would be great
  3. keep an eye on reverb, they pop up around £800-900 sometimes
  4. Very interesting Mr. Bond.... Maybe a gold bantam with custom pickguard? More interested in the HB amp
  5. Moooooooo In all seriousness though, anyone remember the BTB Volo couple of years back? 33 inch scale 5 string.
  6. Grunt is exactly what I want ordering new strings today
  7. One left in andetons and also in stock thomann Ireland. Not my first rodeo. Like the emgs though.
  8. @PaulThePlug checked the case mate sorry tech must have threw the knobs out. @WoodinblackI tried the bass through Vox Amp plug last night and sounded great, getting used to the Nords now.
  9. no bother I have bought a few basses on reverb also although they were squiers (not quite Wal money )
  10. Mick, I hope you get a buyer soon. Would Talkbass in the US be an option? Might be easier than UK currently. Reverb would alos be a good shout, loads of european stores/buyers and sellers on there.
  11. Yeah did the stingray thing too recently. Ended up with a ray34 and it sounds great. Aggressive and sparkly. My first love is my ibanez so I like a thin neck. Bass direct doing Electra TT for 625 which is decent. Sire v9 is 100 quid cheaper and v7 even cheaper again. Listened to the only demo of the bullet I could find on YouTube. Sounded immense even with the Delano.
  12. Thanks @Bobthedog Yeah sound advice. I don't mind a heavier bass but neck dive would drive me nuts:)
  13. Thanks @TheGreek Agreed Squiers are a lot if bass for the money, owned one previously. Sire seem to be rocking everyone's world especially the rolled frets/preamp and some v5/v7's do pop up on reverb for great money
  14. Hi @Raslee Thanks for taking the time to respond. Yes I was eyeing up your sandberg bullet bass, lovely yoke altogether what's the neck profile on it? 38mm at nut? I'm still thinking I want a US Fender jazz some day just to see what all the fuss is about but my opinion changes all the time
  15. Excellent ah I know who you are now Great reviews
  16. As the title says. The 3 contenders for my next jazz. Help me decide guys, anyone with any experience? The v9 looks the business and is cheaper than the player series, Sandberg around 700 but lovely too.
  17. @Dood do you have a YouTube channel?
  18. @PaulThePlug hi mate it was as I remember the barts with the active preamp. It does sound great through the driven clean channel on my Zoom. Its early days, I recently got a ray34 that was dead as a doornail, new strings and it sounded exactly like a ray should. I'll check this evening re knobs.
  19. So this happened Mate took out the active preamp as it was fried. Sounds ok, not a lot different to the barts to be honest. Probably needs new strings. Might get a new preamp or maybe just a B3K on the cheap. Jury's out but they look pretty.
