So my impression has always been (with the Sans Amp BDDI anyway) that it's the very high frequencies that are effected (as some of these comments suggest) rather than the high mids. Still not clear about what the practical significance is of the treble being in the pre-amp and the Presence being in the power section though. Or precisely what a feedback loop is (in this context).     Thank you for your contributions so far. But i must say i'm absolutely none the wiser. Can't make head or tail of the Wiki article, and everyone else seems to be as vague as I am... What is it meant to do?

    As per the title. I'm wondering about the Sansamp BDDI in particular, as that's what I have - but throwing the question out there regarding Presence controls in general. I mean, I can hear the difference right enough when I adjust it, but just wanted to know what parameter is actually being altered by it, and what specifically is it intended to acheive? It more or less just seems like an additional treble control to me... Love to hear the BC wisdom, so please feel free to share your knowledge... Cheers.

    Considering selling my trusty, much loved LMK. I've had it for years now, but have seen another amp for sale I'd now like to try. It's in good nick - well used, but well looked after. Can't afford to keep both, so reluctantly I'm here to find out what interest there might be... I guess you probably know about this...? Small, light, clear, very versatile, 500w at 4 Ohms. I'm including the Markbass carry bag/case in the sale - the zip on the outer pocket is pretty knackered (see pics), but the case is otherwise perfectly serviceable - I still use it all the time. Also included is an Ashdown 2 channel footswitch. The channel 1 switch is a bit temperamental, but I imagine a little tlc and a once-over with some switch cleaner would probably do the job. I haven't bothered trying to fix it myself because I dont use it. Hey, it's a freebie anyway.... Happy to post (at buyer's expense), or you're welcome to collect in person from York.

    In top condition. Not had it long (a year? Not sure. Less maybe). With power supply. And probably in the original packaging (if I can find it). No, I haven't fallen out of love with it, but the new amp I'm soon acquiring has in-built compression, so I wont be using it any more. I'd hang on to it for future use, but need the cash.     Update - having not used this in a while, I gave it a go earlier today and found that the Channel 1 footswitch is kinda sticky and unreliable - so I'll look into getting it fixed before putting it back up for sale....unless anyone wants to make me an offer for it as is? For sale - great piece of kit as you probably know, but as I've now got the rackmount version, I wont be needing it any more. This is the three channel version. Built like a tank. Well used but not abused - see pics for condition. Will post in the original box if I can find it. Collection in person from York welcome, naturally. Cheers.

    I've just taken possession of a second hand Traben Chaos Five - first impressions are very good - I think it was a bit of a bargain. But it has arrived with a very high action. I'm fairly confident with setting up an instrument and making basic adjustments, but was surprised when I took the truss rod cover plate off (at the headstock end) to see two allen bolts where I've only ever seen one before... A quick search on BC and Traben's website hasn't yielded any advice about this, so I'd be grateful for guidance from any BC members about how I should go about adjusting them. I guess it's probably just a matter of tightening them by small degrees as with a normal, single truss rod? But maybe there's other stuff I should know before I mess with it? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Just sold a Markbass cab to Col - very pleasant to deal with, and very patient with some delays and hassles getting it collected by the courier at my end. Thanks for making it much less stressful than it might have been! I'd be very happy to deal with him again anytime.

    Still looking for a sale... Or maybe trade for another cab - particularly interested in any of several Barefaced options (Compact, Big Baby etc) And open to other trade suggestions too, if you have a high quality, lightweight cab to offer. Not in need of instruments right now, but might just be tempted by the right amp (Markbass tube 500/800 perhaps?)... Anyway, it's a Bump from me...

    Just completed a very easy transaction with Gav. Pleasure to deal with. Enjoy the T40 - I'm sad to see it go, but glad it's gone to a good home.
