1. Bump
2. Check the website and the build diary too, stunning.
3.
Me too. Until I saw the price tags. J.
Mr BigRedX has three of the buggers. How can that be fair
4. I rather like the GUS basses
5. For sale is my trusty MB-500 amp as I fancy something different. I have owned this from new and it has worked faithfully in gigs and practices. Still in excellent condition with barely a mark on it. Comes with the footswitch and lead (neither have been used). Trades for other amp heads of interest but nothing that you'd need a truck to move please. Here are the pics. If you'd like to see more please just ask. £250 delivered UK mainland OVNO. Thanks for looking.
6. Virtually new JamMan looping pedal for sale. Used a couple of times but not for mre really. Here's the link to the website info on the pedal: http://digitech.com/...mman-express-xt Now reduced to £40 posted UK.
7.
Not a hijack . if I really like a band, I will still buy cd . Just seems right . Could advertise here?
This.
8.
Has anyone actually taken up Joel's offer and emailed him? I suspect he may be too busy to read this thread often. Just wondering really.
I've not personally, but then he did start a thread on here for feedback so it would be reasonable to expect him to read it.
9. Yes a bit frustrating isn't it. I seem to recall that one of the themes that emerged from the longish thread on here, last year was it, that reviews of basses that didn't cost £2,500+ would be appreciated, but I don't immediately remember any massive change in that respect. We still have articles with missing pages, thinish content and interviews. My own particular frustration is that some particular visual feature of a bass is referred to in a review and there is no pic of it.
10. The best thing about this thread is that it is prompting me to dig stuff out of my collection and play the records again. When you think of all the great music out there it's really hard to amke a call on one or two seminal works. So easy to pick something like Ziggy or Led Zep, but every post makes you think 'yeah that is pretty good too'. Great thread, congrats to the OP.
11. Good man; you know it makes sense.
12.
Close to the edge by Yes, the first album I ever bought (as a 14 year old) and I still think its great now, l would also suggest Seconds out by Genesis
Damn, I was going to nominate CTTE; so instead I will offer up Elton John and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
13. BF G2 Compact and Midget owner. Together they are great. I've used the Compact on its own but not the Midget; what Alex says above about the Compact sounds about right to me.
14. Here we go...
15.
....The interviews and features are too short and usually pretty vapid , and, for the most part, the equipment reviews aren't precise enough or impartial enough to be useful.
Word of the day tomorrow will be Vapid. Excellent use there Dingus.
16. Not come across RTC before, just had a listen on line and CD is now on its way. Thanks for the heads-up guys.
17. ^ What he (or she) said
18. Another Barefaced fan here. I have a Gen 2 Compact and a Midget, plenty loud enough. In fact the Compact on its own is very impressive.
19.
Drooled over this beast last time it was up on here. Sadly I don't think my fretless skills are worthy or capable of filling leitnerJoe or Kevs boots so to speak.
+1 to that, I was severely tempted myself.
20. Very interesting. Mine average out at around 8lbs, but I do stay away from the heavy weight stuff as my neck/back sadly is not what it once was after 30 yrs of rugby.
21.
... and I immediately downloaded 'em all again; success. However, when I tried out the 'PPM' one this evening, having read the above problem, PPM wouldn't print..! I downloaded it for a third time, about 20 minutes ago, and it prints..! Win..! Why it screwed up at all, goodness knows (Finger trouble..? Badly saved..? Dark forces in the Universe..? Dunno... ), but it prints now, that's the main thing. Once again, thanks for putting this stuff out.
Yeah, just worked for me too. Downloaded and donated. Many thanks to y'all.
22. I still can't get Please Please Me to download without the protection. Any chance that some kind person could email it to me please and I'll happily donate.
23. Cheers Jon. I'll keep tabs on the bidding...
