1. Is she a Berkleeite? where was she found?
 2. Dont knock fretless until you've tried it? I mean..I didnt think it was for me..but...sometimes its just,in one off situations, something different becomes much more memorable.
 3. Oh ,we can work on that...do you want to take fretless or fretted 5? Can I call you bitch?
 4. Well 4 strings leave me frustrated.
 5.
Yep, and a full body waxing.
Oh baby.....I promise to be gentle
 6.
OK. I just want to be held.
(Hugs TBBC) Have you had a shower...I have...
 7. Its still retaining female innuendo.
 8.
No wonder posts are so often misunderstood!
"Father McKensie writing a sermon....That no-one will hear...."
 9. Jase..was that NOT obvious?
 10.
A great man once said - "Theres no money above the fifth fret". Now, money or no money, I believe this is a more valid opinion than that of anyone who would actually play the 21st fret on a bass guitar.
That man was in the dark,I am the light. If the fret is there, its there to be used....And I get paid.
 11.
How was it too far? Do you not see the joke? I cannot believe it was edited. I don't even think the URL exists! It was in response to the post above that contained some shameless plugging (nothing wrong with plugging - don't get me wrong). It reminded me of those comments on popular YouTube vids where spammers write "Earn $$$$ by visiting here www.getrichquickmoron.com" or "Meet horny girls in your area" etc, etc. My response was in reference to that. So why was it edited??
Because fella.... And say this straight faced.........sometimes your sense of humour isnt.
 12.
"Forum for the blind?" - jammie17 Braille Chat
Just reminded me of a great Steven Martin gag "Whats the Braile for 'DO NOT TOUCH'?"
 13.
Somtimes I have a point. Maybe.
Did you interpret that as being addressed to you?
 14. Depends if you are just being a c***,or being a c*** that actually has a point?
 15. Well, you have to see it like this everyone..If your busy here posting.. Then you aint busy playing?
 16.
I did wonder where they all went. When I first joined there was a healthy female contingent on here. I do remember a couple of posts from them objecting to some rather crude remarks made by male members, and instead of apologising, the protagonists just made things worse. Shame really.... Still, I remember a post from onefemale ex-member which suggested that the blokes who give it large online are generally making up for an inadequacy elswhere Chris
I get the same homoerotisism about my 9,it dosent bother me,I actually like having some attention from at least one sex, even if its not from one Im orientated toward. But hey,I gig,I play,I get paid.... BACK ON TOPIC.
 17. Fit chick Bassist... SO f***ing what..... She can out play most of us,and looks good too, marketpersons dream if you ask me. And Jeff Beck wouldnt take a talentless musician out with him on tour? Rhonda Smith and Gail Ann Dorsey have been doing the same for years. Crude comment TBBC,but Im not crying about it.
 18.
I do think an awful lot can come from the teacher. In any subject of a teaching profession, a key skill of a teacher is to be a leader, an inspiration. I left school with a lot of respect for my music teacher. I wasn't at that time a flourishing pianist, trumpet or trombone player as some of my fellow pupils, and as such, a lot of my theory was simplified as I wasn't trying to overcomplicate everything as they appeared to be doing. He didn't see this as a bad thing. He gave me the confidence to believe in myself as a musician, and liked the beauty of my simplicity. He was an inspiration to me. But like Dave has said, the rest is down to me. He could only ever lead me so far. So for someone to believe that simply leaving a college with a certificate in any subject, let alone music, leads them onto greatness is foolish on their part. There are bad pupils, and there are bad teachers, and it takes an awful lot of effort on both parts for there to be any modicum of success.
Mine said a wonderful comment about me when I was 16. Cant read,CAN play! .....Ive been working on the pair ever since
 19.
Here...
Thats out of context
 20. Problem is 'modern' music keeps changing. I had a very very very interesting chat with the Bimm gents in Bristol today. I did walk away with a very positive mental state, and a new friend.
 21.
Recipe for Improvement Lock yourself away with your bass, Mark Levine's Jazz Theory book (not just for jazzers), a PC containing Transcribe software and a pair of headphone, a few dozen cds and lots of coffee. Make as much sense of it as you can then go out and play with anyone, anywhere, as much as you can. Cheques can be sent to me care of Basschat....
Got it,was trying to study it,but cant find a DECENT tutor to help me over the 'hard bits'.(would you be willing Bilbo???) cost of 1 year at Bimm in Bristol doing the pro dip in modern music is £1250 for under 19s and over 19s pay £4895.... I'll be frank,Im taking my 9 tomorrow,I wonder if I will get the same answer I got from the ACM a few years ago regarding where I wanted to go with my playing Guy looks about ..checks 'No one' is in room or the least earshot... "Go to London...we dont really do that here" Which then makes me question WHAT they do? Now anyone playing 6 hrs a day 6 days a week IS going to improve somewhat, but I see an awful lot of money, being wasted,on dreams...you aint gonna get the experiences you need unless you are out there doing it,gigs are random ,no exercise book is gonna prepare you for that,Maybe I just want a space to just do my thing.
 22.
Nah... Everyone knows a bass has 4 strings, passive electronics and plays root notes. Anything else should be burnt at the stake.
yeah, playing above the 7th fret is an act of heresy. Re:His Bass...Should have gone to Jim Fleeting!
