1. Epifani do an ultralite 4 ohm 2x12. Aguilar GS212 is quite a deep sounding cab with snappy highs. The DB212 is warmer with a more pronounced midrange. Both recommended!
 2. Still loving this amp....but I see Markbass just displayed a prototype 800 watt version at NAMM....
 3.
Thought this would be long gone by now. Someone buy it so my credit card stops itching!
There's definitely a lot of interest, that's for sure!
 4.
Is it still for sale??
Yes it is Leighton!
 5. The head made my gig last night! Super tight midrange when required. Smooth top end (in that old Ampeg way). The 'Colour' control really brought out the Motown tones, especially with a touch of the Compressor, speaking of which, made the occasional slapped parts rich and 'spike'-free. Something I've had a problem with when using lightweight digital amps through my 12s. I recommend trying one on a gig asap! Sweet talk your local dealer into letting it out the shop over a weekend.
 6.
bump for an awesome little head, wish i had the cash!!!
Thanks Leighton. I'll keep bumping the post but I'm still happy owning it
 7.
I was in GAK a few months ago when a dude was returning one for not being loud enough. Think he went away with an Ampeg head (1200 watt jobbie?) I thought it sounded great when they fired it up in the shop to test it.
I've learned not to get my hopes up too much...so many disappointments over the years!
 8.
Why not use an old trusted amp for the gig and tinker around with this at rehearsals.
Thanks I know what you mean, but our rehearsals are really for practicing new songs. I'll need to bring it on a gig to see how how it handles the increasing volume throughout the night, and the breadth of styles in the repertoire. Tonight will be the time to find out...
 9. Hi all I've just picked this amp up at Kenny's Music in Dunfermline - Scotland's only official Markbass stockist. Has anyone got one yet? I'll be doing a club gig with it tomorrow night through my two Aguilar GS112s. I could do with a bit of user advice to see how the 'Colour' control (which I believe is like the VLE control found on other Markbass heads) affects the other controls, such as the EQ and the Compressor. Lawrie
 10. I've played this great amp. Clean and mighty!!! 3U high but only half the depth of a regular rackmount amp
 11. Hi Kevin I am selling my Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 head: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/163580-for-saletrade-aguilar-tone-hammer-500-th500/ Not entirely sure I'd replace it for an amp of this weight, but I'd be willing to swap amps for a weekend?
 12.
How about my..... http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry1480011
Thanks for the offer Alan. I don't quite know why, but I've just never taken to TC Electronic's amps in a live setting
 13.
If you want to ship and sell I'd like a price.
Thanks but I really do want to keep it to trade only. I can't be without an amp and don't have spare cash lying around right now to buy another in the event that mine sells
 14.
Little Mark Tube- 500 watt version of any interest? 18 months old, not a mark on it and packaging. Great amp but the orange knobs clash with my boss tweed...
The Orange knobs definitely clash with the black/white GS112 cabs too ;-) I've had a couple of nice Markbass offers, and this is a consideration for sure. I'll get back to you - cheers!
 15.
Hi Lawrie I may have a Genz Streamliner 600 for sale if your interested, but downside is that I wouldn't be after a trade. I bought it to replace my Markbass SA450 but find that, although I love the valveyness (is that a word) of the tone I just couldn't get the sound I hoped from it. I'll probably look at a Momark chassis with valve pre and SA450 tone shaping. Anyway, I'm going to try it again on our hogmany gig but if it's not working then it'll be up for sale. 2 gigs old and unmarked and would be looking around the £500 mark for it. Maybe an option? Stephen
Hi Stephen Let me know about the Streamliner after New Year. Never tried that one but I did watch a good youtube review. Like I said, I don't wish to be without an amp hence why I was after a trade. Have a good one! Lawrie
 16.
For trade, what about for sale??
I don't wish to be left without a gigging amp, hence my preference for trade!
