1. Well, technically a corpse is already dead - so you can't have (or be) a "dying corpse"... flatulent or otherwise. I've never used Spotify though, so can't comment on that bit.
 2.

Wow, that's incredible! A lot of his stuff leaves me cold, but that is awesome!
 3.
You don't work for The Daily Mail, by any chance..?
4.
Fixed for you.
Yeah, that's kind of what I meant...
 5.
For a start I like Fender
Wow!! Now that's a turn-up for the books!
 6.
White basses sound funky.
But black basses have the funk.
 7.
I've played this & IMO it's a Belter.
It is indeed, and somebody should be playing it more than I am likely to! But if the right price or trade isn't forthcoming (and I've had a few interesting offers!), then I will happily keep it.
 8.
If people are going to be dogmatic then it would be better if they posted from the benefit of their experience and not how they imagine things to be.
On the internet, everybody is an expert.
 9. No sure exactly what "blues/rock" is... but this line is great, and pretty challenging to learn and play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1r_sg5rIzZw
 10. Rosewood is darker. Definitely.
 11.
I love Andy Frasers sound and have spent the last thirty years trying to get somewhere near it!
You are Neil Murray and I claim my five pounds.
 12. What a gorgeous colour, and a lovely bass! GLWTS
 13.
I loved my compact, and have been toying with getting another since I moved it on...
Fancy trading your Vintage for it?
 14.
GFS - The mutt's nuts.
Yep. Dirt cheap, even with the shipping from the States. 15.
As a seller, I expect to put my back into it and thus offer courier and spend the time boxing up.
Yep. Me too. It's not that hard really. Just keep a few spare cardboard boxes in the loft until you need them. Keep the bubble wrap and packing materials from stuff that you buy new or pick them up when you see them lying around. I don't understand why some people make such hard work of this. If you really want a sale (in these tough times) it makes sense!
 16.
That explains why I might've had the hump with them
Fixed
 17.
Folky countryside ?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otK38i8QKJo&list=PL59EF84E07D5C1B0C
 18.
Strange , that I seemed to miss out/ ignore this band . I did get a 12. " single in the 80s( obviously cheap). One track was a instrumental . They were prog weren't they?
Yeah. Kind of proggy folky countryside type thing...
 19. I love Camel, but it's a bit of a hike so no - I won't be going
 20.
I delivered a mid priced bass to Leicester (from near Preston) in person as the buyer was not very mobile. Made a day of it, took my golf bats so not all bad. Yes it cost me a bit more in fuel that a £25 courier, but the seller got to see the bass was as described and there were no issues regarding damage in transit.
But on the downside (potentially), what if the other person then decided that they didn't want the item? You would be out of pocket by quite a tidy amount. Not too bad if you've had a nice day out I suppose, but sometimes that can involve quite a lot of personal hassle... Just sayin'.
 21.
I've seen a few wrist problems with guitarist friends. I had a strict bass tutor from day one, on a thick p bass neck. No problems in 16 years....so hopefully he taught me well.
So you probably have pretty decent technique! So why all the "technique is bad" vibes? We are not talking about playing "technical" stuff, but just that having a clean (or transparent if you like) sounding set-up makes you aware of things like sloppy fingering (oo-er!), which is often caused by poor hand/wrist/thumb position... Listen to me sounding like I know what I am talking about!
 22.
I don't play my Zoom through an amp. I DI it into the PA.
Then what you hear depends on the colouration added by the PA and monitors?
 23.
a cab cannot really make you a better player.
No, of course it can't. But if it makes you realise that you can do things better, and you then put the effort into doing them better - then (indirectly) the cab has made you a better player by making you aware of what needs improving. I think so, anyway!
 24.
It makes me better precisely because I can hear what is wrong with my playing and do something about it. I have heard things that I previously had not noticed and been able to correct them.

some modern lightweight cabs are in a different league in terms of clarity & transparency, and it was quickly apparent that my technique and playing was a lot more sloppy than I thought. I think I'm a far better player now as a result.
Yes, that is exactly what I meant (although maybe I did not put it quite so succinctly!) It is hard to improve if you don't know what you are doing wrong.
 25.
What's on the set list? I'm looking through you - The Beatles
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeG5c5y8IpY
