Taking a break from gigs due to the drummer welcoming his first child and me coincidentally dislocating 2 fingers in my right hand has given me a bit of time to reshuffle my board. The goal was to squeeze in a wah pedal and fit my new di box. I'm not 100% happy with the underside mess but it works! Looking forward to giving it a real test in 6 weeks when my splints come off

After trying to find the best deals on the bridge I wanted I ended up buying it in chrome, hopefully it'll still look ok! Pickups are now in and wired up. Unless anyone has a spare t24 Taurus backplate laying around I'll need to make one 😊

Any heavy duty polyurethane castors Will do the job providing the hole centres on the plate lines up! I think I got mine from b&q when I had my old fridge ☺️ Apparently skateboard trucks do a good job as well and give a bit of extra leverage when you come up against the dreaded stairs!

Ive found cheaper wall hangers do the job just fine mechanically but the rubber/foam can stain necks and leave very stubborn residue, that is all I'd be cautious of

Finally got some time to work on this today! So a small finish update - my daughter and I tried to do the paint idea but she kept trying to eat the paint so we've abandoned that one.. I did however find some decals I'd kept from a previous project a few years back so stuck them on and I'll see how I feel about it after a few days. The string holder nut thingy is now fitted but the wood needs more shaping for a better flow

Looking to fit a usb port to the side of my pedal board for phone charging etc but all the cables I see online seem to be 5v to 9v. I'm not the best with electronics so I'm starting to think such a thing doesn't exist? Any ideas welcome

We're back on track, first coat of white primer down. For the finish it's going to be all white with some special details! I first joined BC to keep myself awake during nighttime feeds of my daughter. Amazingly she's now almost at toddler stage and can wield a paintbrush, so she will be adding the finishing touches herself!

I work full time but I fully support the idea. We all consume art in some form, but in the current climate it is pretty much untenable unless you are backed by a corporation or come from wealth. I forgot who said it but the quote that always sticks with me is "isn't it funny how there's always money for war"

Since the market is now flooded with different mini wah options, I'm wondering what the general consensus is? I used a Dunlop bass cry baby for a good few years and whilst it did the job for the brief moments it was needed in my band's set, it never really blew me away
