1. I imagine most of you will already be aware of Mark (7 string on here) who carries out repairs and set ups in Glasgow. I had my Lakland 55-01 set up by him and I'm stunned by how much better and easier to play the bass is. He's done a fantastic job at a very cheap price. I'd definately recommend him if you need anything done.
2. Jennifer Clark (Endorka) on here is excellent. She's based in Glasgow city centre.
3. I pretty much but all my gear from here now. So far this year I've bought 3 basses, 2 cabs and an fx unit from BC'ers. If I'm buying secondhand this is the only site I'll use.
4. Bought an effects unit from Glenn. Very quick and easy sale. Recommeded.
5. I recently bought a second hand Korg DTR-1000 on here for £65 inc postage. It's great condition and works well. So far I'm absolutely delighted with it.
6. Bought a rack tuner from Rik. Fast, easy transaction with no problems.
7.
You wouldn't think I'd only started learning theory 7 months ago
Really well done. This is something I fancy giving a go, for the same reasons you mentioned. You say you've only been learning theory for 7 months, did you go straight to grade 4 or have you sat grades 1 to 3 in the last 7 months?
8. I've been a student of Jennifer's for about 8 months now and I can thoroughly recommend her.

11. Got John at Strungoutguitars in Glasgow to convert the amp. £30, which I thought was very reasonable and completed same day.
12. Jennifer Clark is excellent. She teaches in Glasgow city centre. She's a member here, Endorka.
13. Bought a bass from Paul. Really easy to deal with. Highly recommended.
14. Bought a MIM Precision from Will. Quick easy deal and Will was good to deal with.
15. Thanks again. Much appreciated.
16. I intend to. I've no idea what to do but I just wanted to see if anyone could confirm whether the transformer needed to be changed or not. Just worried incase some amp tech tried to sell me a transformer I don't need.
17. I've had a look inside the amp. The transformer is model no. TTO-10864-00. It says the input is 100V-110V-120V. There are different coloured wires coming from it. The PC board has connections for 240V. It says to connect the green wire for 240V and there are 3 green wires coming from the transformer, does this mean that the transformer wouldn't need replaced?
18. Thanks. Ordered from Maplins.
19. Hi, Does anyone know where I can source plastic corner protectors for a cab? I need one for an Aguilar GS. My local stockist hasn't been able to help and I can't find anything suitable on the net. Thanks.
20. Thanks for the replies. Can anyone recommend a good amp tech in Glasgow or surrounding area and give an idea of cost?
21. Bought An Aguilar GS112NT from Myke. Really easy deal for a first class cab in fantastic condition. Sorry about delay posting feedback. Just realised this section exists, DOH!
22. I have an American market GK 700RB-II. I use a step down transformer to run it and was wondering if it's possible to have some sort of conversion done so it can run from the UK mains. If it's possible, is it expensive and perhaps more trouble than its worth? Thanks in advance.
