I suffer terribly from shoulder pain. I bought a custom strap from our very own Karl and have had no issues since. I use a heavy bass too. His straps are expensive but worth it.

Another great bash. Many thanks to Alan and Dave for organising it. Looking forward to next year.

I have a Stagg EUB which if you're in Glasgow you're very welcome to try. I've only been playing it for 2 weeks so can't really pass an informed opinion yet. I got it to try my hand at DB and have so far found it addictive!

I recently received my strap from Karl. I only waited 6 days from order to delivery. Fantastic for a custom piece. It looks fabulous in black with black stitching. I suffer from shoulder problems which I receive treatment for. I've been using the strap for 3 days now without any of my usual aches. That included a 3 hour rehearsal last night. The strap does not slide on my shoulder thus securing the bass at my preferred angle. I use a heavy Sandberg and for the first time I'm not aware of its weight. I thoroughly recommend this strap. Great quality.

Seen them on both occasions they've played Glasgow. 25 years apart. First with Muzz and then Doug. Both times were phenomenal. Had tickets to see them in October but they cancelled their tour. Vivid is an amazing album.

When I gigged I never had a spare to take and never had need of one. I'm about to start gigging again and think the most I'll take is spare batteries and strings. This time I do have other basses but I can't see me taking one

Just started playing in a covers band after many years away from rehearsal rooms. Liked the look of the classic filter so have purchased the pro filters. My hearing's bad as it is so I can't afford to lose any more.

I also suffer from shoulder problems. I use a Sandberg which tops the scales at 9.25lbs. This is the first strap which has really taken the weight of the bass. I like to wear my bass high so I couldn't really get the strap short enough for my liking, however I was still able to get a good idea of how effective the strap is. I'm quite broad shouldered so I was ok with the width but would prefer it narrower provided it didn't affect he ability of the strap to distribute the weight. My wife worked or a leather manufacturer for 8 years and she commented on the high quality of the leather. Its also very well made. I've probably added noting new to the opinions already voiced but suffice to say I will be placing a order.

Strap now enroute to Dougie in the Borders. I'm using my mobile just now so will post a more detailed review later. Suffice to say I was very impressed.

Strap has just arrived. I'm on late shift today and tomorrow so will try it out on Monday and thereafter post to next guinea pig.

I have been attending weekly lessons for almost 5 years. If my tutor had a cancellation fee system I would have to go to someone who didn't. My job means I can have rest days cancelled at less than 24hrs notice. It's rare that I cancel but sometimes I have to reschedule. I have also had the tutor cancel. We all have lives to lead which can throw up unexpected surprises. Whilst I can understand why a tutor would want a cancellation policy I think it's better to have a good tutor/student relationship. If someone consistently cancelled then I'd suggest the tutor refused to accept further bookings.
