  1. Great piece of kit and feels really well built. Plenty of information on the 'net about these and this one is in tip top condition. Boxed with instructions. £115 including postage UK mainland.
  2. Bought a pedal from Dan. Pleased to report that it was a totally straightforward transaction and I am delighted with my purchase. Highly recommended!
  3. Just bought an effects pedal from Andy. Amazing packaging, pedal looks new, so I am delighted with the transaction. I hope we cross paths again.
  4. Actually, Jaydee altered the pickups in 2000, hence the current models' spec showing them as SN2000. I believe they doubled the number of windings(might be exaggerating a bit) which gives the basses more output and punch. I had a mental count-up and have owned a staggering nine Jaydees since 1984, unfortunately all long gone, including two I had built to my spec(all MK shape though). My favourite in terms of looks and playability was a Mark King series 1, the first and largest of the Supernaturals that John Diggins designed and built. I gigged a series 2 some years ago in a rock covers band and it was brilliant and I never had neck issues with any of the ones I owned. I used to call in to see John and Andy if ever I was passing and it was always fascinating to see what being built or in the spray booth, invariably there was a Tony Iomni SG guitar in the making. John used to carry out repairs on all different makes of guitars and basses and I spotted a Status embossed Hiscox case one day. I mentioned it and John said "oh we work on any old stinky poo here." (Mark King was playing Kingbasses by now!) The thing about Jaydees is that they are eye sweet and the name 'Supernatural' is very cool and evocative.
  5. Bump, and a price reduction to reflect going rate for this model.
  6. 2020 Sterling by Musicman Stingray short scale in Olympic white with a very nice rosewood fingerboard. 3.5kg or 7.7lbs in old money. Fantastic fun and nails the 'Stingray' sound perfectly, along with two other variables - single coils and series. There are 80 pages on Talkbass about these and a few great vids on Youtube too. This one comes with a very good padded gig bag along with an Allen key for the saddles and a bar for adjusting the truss rod. New set of Ernie Ball nickels just put on it and I am including p&p in the sale. Any Qs, please PM. Pics to follow in a sec. £500 includes UK delivery
  7. This is a super bass in all respects and plays as nicely as any bass I have ever owned and that includes Jaydee, Status, even Alembic! I have owned it for nearly 12 months and it has only left the house twice so it is in as good condition (9.8/10) as when I received it. The body is immaculate and, as you will see from the ad from when I bought it, the spray job was commissioned by the original owner. There is a little scratch on the control plate but no dinks anywhere else. The bass weighs just over 10lbs on my bathroom scales. I bought a really good 4" leather strap and, because it balances so well, the weight really isn't an issue. Strap is included by the way, as is a (serviceable) hard case. Currently fitted with DR Hi-Beam 45-105 with about two hours on the clock. Here is the ad from when I bought it. I am firm on the (reduced) price of £450 but will include delivery within UK. No trades I'm afraid - I already have something coming to replace it.
  8. Bought a pair of cabs from Stuart. They were better than advertised, really well packed and I am delighted. Buy with confidence.
  9. I have just sold an amp and cab to Mike for serious money and, despite a minor issue on arrival, it all turned out fine and he was happy with the outcome. I have to say that Mike was a pleasure to deal with and very amenable when it came to sorting out an issue that arose. I have no hesitation in recommending him, in this case as a buyer.
  10. Just fancy a change of direction, so selling an immaculate SL112 cab that I bought at at the start of lockdown No.1 so it has not gone out, so to speak. Includes an Aguilar padded cover and UK p&p Here's the blurb but I will say that this is a very classy piece of kit and pairs brilliantly with Aguilar heads (no surprise). Not looking for trades I'm afraid. There appears to be some blooming on the top of the cab towards the rear. Has that been caused by sunlight perhaps?
  12. Sold Nick a cab and it was a seamless and easy transaction. Many thanks and 5 stars from me.

Recently sold a bass to Martin and it was a pleasure from start to finish. Totally straight ahead guy to deal with and I very much hope our paths cross again.
  14. I have had zero interest in the Warwick Thumb I'm selling so this is up for grabs as a more affordable/less niche alternative to raise some funds. Not had it long and here is the For Sale thread from which I bought it. I hope nord1 doesn't object. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/404767-sold-yamaha-bb-1024x/?tab=comments#comment-4014312 It will leave me with a new set of Elites. P&p no problem, hard case included. Sorry no trades.
