  1. 2020 Sterling by Musicman Stingray short scale in Olympic white with a very nice rosewood fingerboard. 3.5kg or 7.7lbs in old money. Fantastic fun and nails the 'Stingray' sound perfectly, along with two other variables - single coils and series. There are 80 pages on Talkbass about these and a few great vids on Youtube too. This one comes with a very good padded gig bag along with an Allen key for the saddles and a bar for adjusting the truss rod. New set of Ernie Ball nickels just put on it and I am including p&p in the sale. Any Qs, please PM. Pics to follow in a sec. £500 includes UK delivery
  2. This is a super bass in all respects and plays as nicely as any bass I have ever owned and that includes Jaydee, Status, even Alembic! I have owned it for nearly 12 months and it has only left the house twice so it is in as good condition (9.8/10) as when I received it. The body is immaculate and, as you will see from the ad from when I bought it, the spray job was commissioned by the original owner. There is a little scratch on the control plate but no dinks anywhere else. The bass weighs just over 10lbs on my bathroom scales. I bought a really good 4" leather strap and, because it balances so well, the weight really isn't an issue. Strap is included by the way, as is a (serviceable) hard case. Currently fitted with DR Hi-Beam 45-105 with about two hours on the clock. Here is the ad from when I bought it. I am firm on the (reduced) price of £450 but will include delivery within UK. No trades I'm afraid - I already have something coming to replace it.
  3. Bought a pair of cabs from Stuart. They were better than advertised, really well packed and I am delighted. Buy with confidence.
  4. I have just sold an amp and cab to Mike for serious money and, despite a minor issue on arrival, it all turned out fine and he was happy with the outcome. I have to say that Mike was a pleasure to deal with and very amenable when it came to sorting out an issue that arose. I have no hesitation in recommending him, in this case as a buyer.
  5. Now sold
  6. Just fancy a change of direction, so selling an immaculate SL112 cab that I bought at at the start of lockdown No.1 so it has not gone out, so to speak. Includes an Aguilar padded cover and UK p&p Here's the blurb but I will say that this is a very classy piece of kit and pairs brilliantly with Aguilar heads (no surprise). Not looking for trades I'm afraid. There appears to be some blooming on the top of the cab towards the rear. Has that been caused by sunlight perhaps?
  9. Sold Nick a cab and it was a seamless and easy transaction. Many thanks and 5 stars from me.

    MB1 Feedback

Recently sold a bass to Martin and it was a pleasure from start to finish. Totally straight ahead guy to deal with and I very much hope our paths cross again.
  11. Withdrawn for now.
  12. On hold..... SOLD.
  13. Bridgwater.
  14. I have had zero interest in the Warwick Thumb I'm selling so this is up for grabs as a more affordable/less niche alternative to raise some funds. Not had it long and here is the For Sale thread from which I bought it. I hope nord1 doesn't object. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/404767-sold-yamaha-bb-1024x/?tab=comments#comment-4014312 It will leave me with a new set of Elites. P&p no problem, hard case included. Sorry no trades.
  15. Gotta go price drop.
  16. Now including p&p in the price. Here's a review I found on this forum:
  17. Can't understand a word but this is the a good representation of the sounds:
  18. I have just committed to another bass so this one is on the market. It's a 2010 German made version in very good condition. Notably, the gold lettering has faded on the neck pickup and there are one or two marks on the body that you'd fail to notice unless you were right up close. I believe it is an ovangkol body and neck with wedge fingerboard and it weighs 9.5lbs (4.3kg). There's no neck dive and I have to say I don't find it a stretch to the nut end of the neck either. The neck is beautifully smooth and fast, frets show barely any wear. Comes with original folder that contains Truss rod spanner, instruction manual and tin of wax. Just put a new set of DR Hi-Beam 45-100 strings on and installed a new battery. I will ship in a hard case (the tweed type). The case is too big for the bass really but will protect it in travel. You'd need a gig bag or semi rigid case for carrying it around in. Happy to ship within UK and not up for trades I'm afraid. Price now includes p&p.
  19. So did I. PMs sent yesterday.
  20. To answer a couple of PM Qs, I have been driving this cab with an Aguilar AG700 and it thrives on the power; and no, I haven't gigged it but I would be totally confident in its ability as a one cab solution. Oh, and p&p now included in the price.
  21. Here's a Fabulous 10 month old TKS bass cab in a very classy burgundy tolex, complete with padded cover. It's a 450w 1x12 and 1x6 rear ported cab(latest spec), beautifully built and sounds amazing. The recessed handle is sensibly placed on the top to make it a very easy carry. I built an aluminium frame to sit it on which lifts it by the height of a cab and this is free issue if wanted. New price with padded cover is £630 for one of these. I'm happy to drive 30 miles in any direction from J23 M5 near Bridgwater or, at a push, will p&p at cost. Not trades I'm afraid. Spec is copy/paste from TKS website: Small and light, but with impressive lows and a clear mid range, the 1126 offers a tone few other cabinets do, and many bass players using the 1126 have finally found "their" tone. The great dispersion from the 6" speaker doesn't require tilting the cabinet to get clear mids up at ear level, and also spreads mid range clarity evenly across a stage, making more of the bass tone reach the audience and fellow musicians. Even though the 1126 has more mid range than most tweeterless cabinets, it can easily be altered through EQ to give a more "vintage" tone. Specifications (Specifications explained😞 Impedance: 8 Ω Power handling (high average power test signal): 450 W RMS Recommended amplifier power: 250-600W RMS @ 8 Ω Sensitivity[average]: 94 dB SPL @ 1 W/1 m Sensitivity[100Hz]: 94 dB SPL @ 1 W/1 m Sensitivity[max]: 97 dB SPL @ 1,5 kHz, 1 W/1 m Frequency response (-10db): 33 Hz - 9,2 kHz Displacement: 496 cm³ Measurements (WxHxD): 52x45x44 cm Weight: 15 kg
