Well, seeing as it's cheap 90s jazz with possible heavy ply body, I'd say you've overpriced it. Rockwood basses which are identical and no doubt made in same factory at the same time go for around £50. I saw someone trying to sell one of these on ebay recently, claiming it was Japanese with inflated price to match, that wasn't you was it?

How's it dodgy? Rosewood neck, all looks right, doesn't look well looked after.

Looks great. Are the pickups single coils or humbuckers? -
I see. I think someone was having a joke. If you take a close look at the P bass for sale on that page, and compare it with a Rockwood (by Hohner) lx90b, the early ones will look identical, same neckplate style as those in your pics, pickguard, bridge, even triangle serial number sticker. Only difference would be the headstock shape and logo. Later lx90b models have a plain neck plate like in the pic for the bass for sale on that webpage. Pretty sure it's a 90s bass. Production in Japan slowed right down around 1986, because production costs rocketed, so buyers to cut margins switched to korean manufacturers because they were significantly cheaper.
-
Why do you think it's Japanese? What gave you that impression? It's a cheap 90s made in korea. You'll see the same style neck plate on Rockwood (by hohner) guitars and basses from the same time period.

Been interested in the harley benton JP450 and JJ450 basses for a while, thought I'd pick one up used, but seems they rarely turn up for sale. So, whatever happened to these basses?

Considering hex keys can be different sizes, finding a one size fits all isn't gonna happen. The adaptor will need to be an absolute perfect fit, otherwise you'll end up rounding out the nut.

Think you're getting confused with RBX range, and the newer TRBX range. Would be easier to just go and try the models out and decide for yourself.

Fender Ultra II - charging us more, giving us less.
JJMotown replied to HeadlessBassist's topic in Bass Guitars
Where have you been for the past 60 years? Fender have been doing this since CBS. -
Is yours standard or reverse P version. I see theres both, the one I played is a reverse P. I've played reverse P basses before, but never a double reverse P, really liked it, especially the pickup nearest the Bridge.

Played a mates '83 BC Rich Eagle last night, made in Japan, lovely koa neck thru construction. Played a dream, but has so many knobs even he didn't know what they all did. Has double dimarzio p pickups, sounds huge. Anyone own or played one, any info about them?
-
Serial number is '67 according to andy baxter website. Bridge and control plate have been replaced over the years, but still a nice bit of kit. Messaged the seller to inform them of what they have and its value.

That's a squier vintage modified, not a classic vibe series. But 2012 would be right for the vintage modified range, made in Indonesia not China.
-
There's no fiesta red jazz bass, there was only a p bass made in china in 2012 in that colour.
-
There's a drill bit which is hollow in the middle, which you drill down to the depth of the screw shaft, over the screw, then pull out, and fill the hole with a dowel.

I thought this was about ebay charging buyers to buy stuff in ebay. Online shopping is going crazy 🤪
