My vote is most definately for getting a Precision. The next question is down to budget. If you are after a backup bass that is capable of being a gigable bass that wont break the bank then my vote is for a classic vibe precision.

I like the old school sounding vocal , nice and chilled

[/quote] I love it I owned an Orange AD200 with the matching Orange 410 & 115 cabs , all in flight cases. The rig sounded fantastic with my Precision and Stingray 5. In the end i sold the lot as really needed two people to help move the gear. It was ok when i was with the band but when i got home i was on my own and just could not do it. I do miss the valve tone but not the weight issue. I also had a "when are the valves going to go" thought constantly in the back of my mind at each gig. I use Epifani gear now and i do keep thinking "how can i have the valve tone with my LIGHT Epi gear "??? a valve pedal ??

I wonder how the Powder Coat Finishes will stand the test of time wit gear being lugged around ?

I love the look of the 112 combo with the White finish. It is very striking, as other peiople have said, it is great to see something other than black. I know that the DIST range could be bought in some funky colours but I think it is the curvey shape that draws me to these AL products .
