That sounds plausible, based on the picture of the 4-string cort and the (to my eye) uneven spacing on the bridge and string retainer. I'd have thought that a 4 -> 5 conversion would not have been easy though ... either sourcing or making parts.
Considering Cort' relatively low budget, my idea is that they simply slapped a 5 strings bridge and headpiece on a 4 strings body. It's just a theory though...

GAS stroke so this has to go. It's a Warwick Corvette Proline 5 strings, maple body and golden hardware. Bass is dated 1999. Wenge neck (much sought after slim profile, not the ovangkol baseball bat neck) and fretboard. Conditions : mint as mint could be. Not a single belt rash. Not even light scratches. Active electronics, but standard passive MEC pups. Straplocks already installed. Sound is amazing. Comes with gig bag, manual, warwick truss rod key. Open to partial trades, looking for a Eden or a Markbass head Straight sale price : [s]650£[/s] 600£ + shipping. Thank you!

Sorry to seem blunt, but I would be more than happy to have nothing more to share with a women who acts like this. If you don't need the money, chop the bass slowly, it will help you to feel better. Sorry for the nonsense, but I've been through similar situations. Bump for the bass anyway
Don't you just hate those people.... "I wasn't sure if I was interested in playing bass so I bought a Zon"!!
I think the worst are "my son wanted to start playing a bass so I bought him an Eden rig and a brand new Fodera as a startup kit..."

I'm almost buying an old AFR bass - single piezo for each monorail bridge, but the owner says that when he switches to piezo pickup, the volume of the B string is always lower than the one of the other strings. I have no experience with piezos, so I'm wondering if the volume problem issue is just a misplacement of the piezo or if an almost dead pickup can have a partial volume. Thank you

Looks like there is a god for bass players. I had three PAINTINGS sent from england. The artist sent the three wrapped in bubble wrap and paper and through regular mail. No carto, nothing rigid. Imagine three large boxes in the containers of the standard mail... Of course one painting was ripped, the other had an incision on it. Idiot, ah, so idiot...
The worst packaging I ever had was with a 1979 Rickenbacker 4000. It arrived in an old gig bag with a burst zip that didn't fasten at all. the seller held the bass in the bag with brown tape wrapped round it. How it survived I will never know.
