1. Great bass and greater price. It won't last long.
2. I love my Steinberger XQ5 v2. Previous owner sold it because his bandmates thought a headless bass was not fitting the image of the alt-rock band he plays with. Imagewise I'm pretty sure that Steinberger has never been used in metal but can fit almos every other music genre.
3. Apart from Basschat and Talkbass or CL in USA ? Anything comparable to these in Europe ? Thank you
4. +1
LRH - you seem confused about why there's no response, but it's been pointed out to you. Steinbergers are collectible, but like any collectible, there's a threshold to their value. I realise you feel very strongly about how nice your bass is, but just because you feel that way doesn't mean everyone else does, and regardless of some of the prices we see attached to vintage instruments these days, anyone buying a piece like this wants to believe they're paying around the market value. I'm really curious as to how you arrived at your valuation. I believe you originally wanted £6000, you've now lowered that by 25% to £4500. Were you advised to price the bass this way, or did you come to these values yourself? I don't mean this as a criticism, it's just that you obviously want to sell the bass, yet you're confused by something that I think appears fairly obvious to everyone else.
5. must have been the FASTEST sale in the Basschat history. It lasted ONE MINUTE!
6. I spend hours on this forum, just to miss opportunities like this ?? Buggers and double buggers
7. made in Japan or taiwan ? (a rear headstock photo would be perfect)
8. find the fifteen differences
9. I did the same thing to one of my basses. Same kind of crack, exactly. I sold mine two weeks later since I felt so friggin' guilty and I could not see it anymore.
10. Yeah, I have an original passive 1986 Ibanez Axstar for sale, since I'm reducing my headless basses collection. It's absolutely the lightest headless I've ever tried (and I've tried many) and does not require double ball end strings, which is a joy. If you need a great sounding light travel instrument look no further. IBANEZ AXSTAR CATALOGUE 1986 Some scratches here and there (it's 25 years old!) which do not affect playability at all. More photos next days. [s]Asking 350£[/s], open to trades if you have a Eden or a Markbass head to sell (+ cash on my side of course) A small Gallien Krueger 150 will do the trick also. Now asking 300£ because I need this to move FAST Thank you!
11. 460£ for a mint Marcus Miller ? That's the bargain of the month IMHO Lucky buyer indeed!
12. mine was definately more recent. Maybe Hohner decided to reduce costs, and maybe the preamp section was smaller in more recent versions of the B2A so to allow circuit and battery to be fitted in the same compartment. A pity the XLR is not a standard feature anymore. Bump for this, I really don't need another Hohner B2A but...
13. mine was absolutely an active instrument. it just lacked the battery compartment and the XLR
14. Battery in my B2A was in the electronic compartment and mine also had no XLR output. Maybe mine was one of the first built, or vice versa, Hohner decided to reduce expenses removing compartment and XLR, no idea...
15. Unm... my active B2A did not have a batteries compartment nor the XLR output Are these aftermarket mods ?
16. I had never seen the red version! Bump for a great travelling bass for a great price
17. SOLD! Locally!. Almost no interest from Basschat users. I still cannot understand why since it was a true bargain and a beautiful instrument.
18. thanks God it was a four strings or I would have wept for hours
19. ialma

SOLD

Anyway, try to sell it locally, find a place where metalheads gather and drop ads there, place an ad in a metal magazine, as many said I cannot believe this bass hasn't sold yet since price is ridiculously low
Not enough Deicide fans on here then.
20. http://www.thomann.de/gb/warwick_corvette_std_5_nat.htm This bass compared to the standard : Body : maple vs. swamp ash Neck : wenge vs. ovangkol Electronics : active vs passive Hardware : gold vs chrome Price : 600£ vs 1128£ Hint, hint
21. Sometimes it's just a matter of luck, finding the right buyer at the right time. I'm sure your bass will go very fast, since is indeed a sought Grendel, which go in a 500£ range used. Crossed fingers (and another free bump ) for you!
Hi ialma, I just don't get it . Great Bass with a good pedigree for very little money but no takers . I could understand it if it was in rubbish condition but honestly it's like new. Thanks very much for the Bump - Fingers crossed. Oggy
22. It's just a difficult moment to sell anything, believe me. Your bass is a really good instrument, hope will make happy a fellow BCer and not the Evilbay. Free bump for a great bass! +1 for the Grendel
Well Chaps, It looks as though I’ve lost my nibble for this bass . I’ll give it another couple of days then resort to the ‘Hell Hole’ called ebay - Agggghhhh . Not really sure what to think, I thought it was a good price for a virtually unused Bass, did I get it soooooooooo wrong . Still love this site though, great bunch of very knowledgeable / helpful members . Oggy
