  1. His dad died in 1990.
  2. There was a wrestler from Tamworth called David Day, and that's everything I know about the place.
  3. I think I saw them supporting Ministry once. They were good, but of course their first album was the best and they never regained their initial fury. Shame.
  4. Absolutely this. 100%. Also, this being a tribute to your brother, mistakes etc are unimportant - remember him, have fun for him and don't worry about any bum notes.
  5. There's a lot going on about Rod Stewart on certain sections of the web at the moment, none of which can be corroborated with a simple google search, Funny that. Also, the prose in all of these "reports" just screams AI.
  6. Now that's just beautiful.
  7. If they're standard guitar humbucker rings I should be able to find some. Let me know how you get on.
  8. PS - can also do you a pickup ring with a thumb rest designed for the Steinberger Spirit, which I think might well fit your Hohner. https://makerworld.com/en/models/1434657-steinberger-spirit-humbucker-with-thumb-rest?from=search
  9. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:812666 If you'd like the base plate from this lot, I'll print you one.
  10. How about sticking a 3d printed base under it?
  11. I'm old fashioned in this respect - you use it, you pay for it.
  12. A 1.5hr covers set on a stage with enough room, good monitoring and an engineer who knows their apples. A hundred or so enthusiastic punters and some nice comments afterwards. I don't need a backline provided (I'd rather play on my own gear; old fashioned, I know....) or anything flashy. Payment is nice but not essential. That's about it, really.
  13. At least it hasn't got a headstock tuner left on it.
  14. If it's not too late, you can use warm water with a drop of washing up liquid in it to make the decal slide around on the surface of the paint so that you can position it more easily.
  15. I had a similar experience in that same period. I look back on it and wonder how the hell the fallout isn't still with me.
  16. In my defence I was young, inexperienced and foolish, but essentially, yes - I buggered off! I left all my gear and went back for it under the cover of darkness (well, late afternoon).
  17. @Steve Browning That sounds like a good solution that will have the most positive effect on everyone concerned. It's tricky breaking up a band but it sounds like you found the right way to go about it.
  18. I've mentioned this before on BC, but I once left a band by going to the toilet during a rehearsal and escaping through the toilet window. There's more to the story, but the crux of it is that I ran away in the least dignified way.
  19. From the videos I've seen of your bands I don't think you've much to worry about in the playing stakes. I wish I was as terrible as you!
  20. General Incompetence, probably!
