1. Might be worth adding the new price in your original post so it's clear. Lookers might not bother to scroll down.
2.
Bump, i feel like this is a fair price, am i wrong?
This looks like a first generation MBE212. Google that for indicative prices when they were new.
3. If you refitted all the original parts and listed the replacements in the other music related stuff for sale forum, you would most likely be able to reduce the price of this bass to an irresistible price and get more money back overall.
4. Thank you.
5. What year was it manufactured please? Cheers
6. Can you advise what year the TA503 was made please. The month and year of manufacture are on a label on the rear face. Many thanks.
7.
it is important cos the number can effect the price a bit
Not if the seller doesn't want it to. The price is what he's prepared to accept.
8. I own an SVT210AV and whilst it is a lovely sounding medium duty cabinet it is a sealed design and doesn't go particularly loud or deep and is better used in pairs depending on the genre and venue. It has a cloth front so is more susceptible to damage on public transport than the metal markbass grill. Of those choices the markbass will go louder and deeper and consequently is more flexible and would be my choice.
9. You should add the word "SOLD" to the thread title.
10. Did I miss the more detailed photos type bump?
11. You might have more interest/success selling if you posted a photo or two and some info (or at least some links to info) of the cab. £750 isn't an insubstantial amount for most of us.
12. Do you have a photograph of the front of the headstock please? Cheers.
13. Beautiful bass. Could you explain a bit more about how the back and front of the headstock were flattened please? Thanks
14. Images not working for me either.
15. I had the same experience with neo Bergantino AE112s versus their ceramic HT112ER and EX112ER cabs. The heavier ceramics just had more depth and power to their sound.
16. Welcome aboard Phil. You should indicate where you are located and some information about the 810. Cheers, Mark
17. When you say "class D", do you just mean light weight?
18.
I suspect one of the other italian Class D companies designed it like Powersoft.
I don't think so. Markbass actually states that it invested a lot of resources in its own R&D to develop what it calls its MPT (Mark Proprietary Technology ) class D power amplifiers. Markbass may have been slightly economic with certain information in the past but I don't believe they are being untruthful about this.
19. I had a class D LM3 in my CMD121P and it sounded just as punchy as my class AB separate LM3. The sound is primarily down to the pre amp which was identical. Markbass developed its own 500w class D power amp and it is very full sounding. The 1000W power amp is based on the same design elements.
20. Absolutely. Although all the LM series has ever meant to me was the physical size of the box. I have three of the larger format markbass heads and a LM3 and they all share the same class AB power section and almost identical pre amps. Once markbass had developed its own 1000W class D power board and squeezed it into the LM Ninja I assumed a LM1000 in standard black and yellow livery wouldn't be far behind. The green Ninja is even more Marmite than the wasp colour scheme I think. I do have a TA503 with four bands of semi-parametric EQ which is really useful for taming the low end on occasion almost like a high pass filter; but as you say straight up is usually fine the majority of the time.
21.
Mute I'd agree with, but would probably want a footswitch for it (Otherwise why not use the volume Knob). The others are fine ideas in themselves, but to my mind it would cease to be an LM.
Both a mute facility and 1000W are available on other LM heads. The semi parametric mids haven't been but make the discontinued SA450 a much more flexible head than the LM2 or LM3.
22. Mute facility, semi-parametric high and low mids and the 1000W power section from the Ninja head.
23. Original post does say it's through neck.
