  1. Selling this beauty as I’ve got too many p type basses and need to make room! I believe it’s a 1978. Comes with original hardcase, tools and manual. This was the top spec bolt on at the time with an ebony fretboard. I’m the 2nd owner. It was refinished at some point by the original owner in a slightly metallic sage green who also had it defretted early on - it has spent most of its life unplayed in it’s case. I had new frets fitted this year and it’s had a pro setup so it play beautifully with a low action to suit my light touch. Fitted with labella low tension flats. It’s approx 4.5kg with a p bass type neck - I make the nut 43mm. Happy to part ex with cash either way depending - I’m only after a Hofner contemporary violin or a 4 string stingray. Welcome to try it out in whitley bay. I’m not looking at postage at present as the hard case is absolutely massive and it will not be cheap or easy to post! Happy to meet up within a hour or so drive. Some of the photos were taken when it had fender flats on.
  2. Price includes postage. These have had very little use and the silks are in vgc.
  3. Price includes postage. The 3 regular machine heads can be reversed to use if you have a 2+2 or 3+1 type headstock. These are the 11/16 version but I’ve had these on a bass with 1/2 holes with no problem at all - I’ll include some bushings I used to do this. Screws and instructions included.
  4. These are great - I love mine. No idea how they’re so cheap compared to earlier squier stuff.
  5. Interested to see the weight of this!
  6. Chris sold me a pedal. Great guy to deal with!
  7. Very nice! Looks great with either pickguard but the all black look would be my choice. They're lovely little basses - gutted I need to move mine on but need to keep the wife happy!
  8. Everything about this looks excellent. Enjoy!
  9. Price includes uk mainland postage. Working perfectly and comes with manual and tatty box.
  10. A great and rare 30” bass in shell pink. Circa 1997. Approx 3.8kg. I’ll probably regret this one but the band I use it in has ended. Fitted with TI short scale (actually “32”) flats. Will come with a gigbag. The bass doc set this up beautifully and made me a pearl pickguard and fitted a humbucker. The cavity was enlarged but the pickguard covers it. It can be returned to stock with only a screwdriver. When I bought it the original pickup didn’t work so I had it rewound by ghost pickups and it’s great - like an early P bass. There’s plenty of road wear which gives it character. I’ve never had a bass which gets so many positive comments at gigs. Happy to consider trades with cash either way for a Hofner contemporary club/violin or a stingray type. Happy to post for £25 - I have bass boxes and packaging. Welcome to try it out if you’re in the area. I’ve had a PJ and a JMJ mustang and much prefer this.
  11. Great pedal in used condition but working perfectly. With manual and box. Price includes uk mainland postage. Price drop so now £60 posted.
  12. For sale: Yamaha BB1024. Circa 2013. Great passive PJ bass, only selling as I need to shift this to honour the '1 in, 1 out' rule and keep the wife happy! It’s working perfectly and has a few dints on the body and some buckle rash on the back. 40mm nut. Around 4.5kg. £500 posted, Whitley Bay. The only thing I could be tempted with is part exchange for a 4 string stingray or Hofner contemporary with cash either way. Happy to post - I’ve got a bass box and lots of packaging. I've had flats, tapes and rounds on it and it sounded great with them all! I believe the P pickup is alnico and the J is ceramic, which is why the J is so powerful and can be used on it's own with no volume drop. The sustain is ridiculous even when strung through the bridge, when strung though the body it seems almost endless! It has been set up by Bass Doc and has had a new switchcraft jack socket as the original was crackly. This guy demonstrates the range of sounds well- https://youtu.be/B2Ozm0eAAmE?si=1l-sakTgWpGHymH1
  13. Would love a precision! Agreed, should have dots rather than blocks.
  14. Thanks but afraid I need something more lightweight
  15. What's the weight of this Davy?
  16. Bought some strings from Dave, great to deal with - a hassle free transaction
  17. Looks great! If it’s still about next week when I’m back from my hols I may have to pop over and try it out as I’m hankering for a stingray type…
  18. Sid bought my noise blocker. A pleasure to deal with.
  19. Brian bought a pedal from me. A painless transaction with good communication. Deal with confidence.
  20. Price includes uk mainland postage.
  21. Convert any Hipshot extender to have a 2nd setting e.g 1st lever tunes down to D, the 2nd tunes down to Db! These are £33+postage from bass direct. Price includes postage.
  22. Popping this here in case any of you BB fans are interested. Seems like a good price but is out of my budget. https://www.sellusyourguitar.co.uk/product-page/yamaha-bb-2004-natural-gloss-2005-electric-bass
  23. That BB1000 looks good. The tuners take a special tool which tightens the sleeve up - stopped the rattles on mine and firmed the tuner action up
  24. The honeymoon period is over and I'm still very happy. I've swapped strings with the BB1024 so the BB1000 now has La Bella low tension flats which suits it perfectly for my playing style and sound, and have put the D'Addario rounds on the BB1024 for my slap needs...
