  2. For sale: Yamaha BB1024. Circa 2013. Great passive PJ bass, only selling as I found a vintage BB and I need to shift this to honour the '1 in, 1 out' rule and keep the wife happy! It’s working perfectly and has a few dints on the body and some buckle rash on the back. 40mm nut. Around 4.5kg. £500, Whitley Bay. The only thing I could be tempted with is part exchange for a 4 string stingray with cash either way. Happy to post for an extra £25 - I’ve got a bass box and lots of packaging. I've had flats, tapes and rounds on it and it sounded great with them all! I believe the P pickup is alnico and the J is ceramic, which is why the J is so powerful and can be used on it's own with no volume drop. The sustain is ridiculous even when strung through the bridge, when strung though the body it seems almost endless! It has been set up by Bass Doc and has had a new switchcraft jack socket as the original was crackly. This guy demonstrates the range of sounds well- https://youtu.be/B2Ozm0eAAmE?si=1l-sakTgWpGHymH1
  3. Thanks but afraid I need something more lightweight

  5. Would love a precision! Agreed, should have dots rather than blocks.
  6. What's the weight of this Davy?
  7. Bought some strings from Dave, great to deal with - a hassle free transaction
  8. Looks great! If it’s still about next week when I’m back from my hols I may have to pop over and try it out as I’m hankering for a stingray type…
  9. Sid bought my noise blocker. A pleasure to deal with.
  10. Brian bought a pedal from me. A painless transaction with good communication. Deal with confidence.
  11. Convert any Hipshot extender to have a 2nd setting e.g 1st lever tunes down to D, the 2nd tunes down to Db! These are £33+postage from bass direct. Price includes postage.
  12. Popping this here in case any of you BB fans are interested. Seems like a good price but is out of my budget. https://www.sellusyourguitar.co.uk/product-page/yamaha-bb-2004-natural-gloss-2005-electric-bass
  13. That BB1000 looks good. The tuners take a special tool which tightens the sleeve up - stopped the rattles on mine and firmed the tuner action up
  14. The honeymoon period is over and I'm still very happy. I've swapped strings with the BB1024 so the BB1000 now has La Bella low tension flats which suits it perfectly for my playing style and sound, and have put the D'Addario rounds on the BB1024 for my slap needs...
  15. Not sure how to price this one (they tend to go for 80-90 is used working condition)- it was working perfectly for a gig, then the next day nothing at all - not even a dry signal through it with the true bypass on either mains or battery. Might be an easy fix - I have no electronics knowledge at all. I’ve opened it up and nothing looks obviously wrong to me. Price includes uk mainland postage.
  16. Yeah me too - they’ve recently reissued them and they’re more or less the same thing I think, available in short scale also. Prices new are absolutely daft though.

  18. Price includes uk mainland postage. Have been out their packet from new and on my p bass for about half an hour before realising they’re not for me - I haven’t trimmed them down and the silks are in vgc.
  19. Price includes uk mainland postage. With original box and manual.

  21. Yes, I checked the manual and it's just the position markers and ebony fingerboard.
  22. Bought some flats from Martin, top chap!
