  1. Bought some flats from Martin, top chap!
  2. My korean longhorn had the trussrod adjuster at the heel which required taking the neck off. My chinese one was definitely at the headstock end. I found the same with the controls - I generally had everything on full. Used mine in a function band and originals band for a while - was easy on the back!
  3. Thanks! It had manky old rotosound rounds on when I got it and its currently wearing d'addario nickel rounds which are much nicer. I've already got two P basses with flats so I'm liking the variety (will still try it with flats before long though!)
  4. Yeah, I think flats is the way to go. I loved having tapes on my 56 though. The blueburst was great but had a weird smell from the previous owner I couldn't seem to shift 😂. I actually thought the later Chinese model was better made after a proper setup including fretwork.
  5. There's a version of Everybody Dance from the same show - very nice!
  6. Small world! It's a great little shop, although their website is pretty terrible.
  7. Thanks. Curvy sounds in Heaton, Newcastle. I'm a fan of the pulser basses too (or anything vintage and Japanese really!)
  8. very nice! I've had two longhorns (a korean blueburst and a chinese copperburst) and a black 56. Currently GASing for another Dano as I've never had flats on mine - only rounds and tapes
  9. Coincidentally I've just bought a BB1000 - I'd recommend!
  10. My local music shop have had this in for a few months and I finally had the time to pop in on Saturday and couldn't help myself. The previous owner bought it new and had it defretted (which is probably why it's been in its case for most of the time) - it has just been refretted. Other than a refinish, it's all original and is in great condition apart from a few dings. It's a high quality instrument with the original case, tools and manual! Not lightweight at ~4.5kg but it sounds great and like a more focussed P to my ears. It just needs setting up to my preferences and I need to make the difficult decision of flats or rounds...

  13. Great and versatile pedal, but my C4 covers my needs. In good condition and working perfectly from a smoke free home. Price includes mainland UK postage. I don’t have the original box but it will be well packaged.

  15. Bought Ash's Squier Silver Series P bass - deal with confidence, a great Basschatter!
  16. Agreed! I like my flats as worn in as possible, I’ve still got a set of TIs in use I bought in 2008…

  18. Very nice! A shame contours weren't added when it was being refinished - I had a USA Sub Stingray 5 and didn't get on with the slab body.
  19. Price drop to £70 posted. Great pedal in used condition but working perfectly. With manual and box. Price includes uk mainland postage. Happy to combine postage with my other pedals.
