  7. Cheers, that's what I was trying to determine! 😁
  8. Ah, I'm getting confused between sound energy and volume it seems. In layman's terms (which very much applies to me) would it be vaguely correct to say that running the two cabs together would be about 10% louder than the 4x10 on its own, or in other words not worth the hassle?
  9. Thinking about this again, doesn't a 1.5dB increase in volume mean a 50% increase, which would seem common sense since there's a 50% increase in speaker area?

  17. As I say I never actually intend to use them both together, and if there's likely to be no effective increase in noise from using them together then at least it'll save me some fuel not lugging an extra 60lb about for no benefit.
  18. I actually don't ever plan to use them together so it's a moot point, but given the 2x10 is 250W and the 4x10 is 350W would the SWR really be holding the Ashdown back that much?

  22. Julyan Wallis, who does the fretted instrument repairs for that, has a workshop just outside Penzance. I took nearly all my instruments to him for setups when I lived in Cornwall. Sound bloke and excellent luthier.
  23. Updated board with the Corona chorus gifted by the estimable @Merton. I have space, a power cable and a patch lead left for one more, which may end up being an inexpensive octaver. If I get any pedals for Chrimbo I will have to buy a bigger board and better power solution. What a nuisance that would be... 🤣
  24. Eep! I'll try and not push it too hard just in case then!
