    Black nylon tape wound strings for a deep/warm sound. I took the G string out and tried it on my grandson’s mini bass but it was clearly going to be too long, so I removed it without playing. It is uncut. The other 3 strings are new and unmounted. Collection in person welcomed but postage available.     Price drop to £85. Unused set of NS610s. The cardboard outer box is in a poor state but the strings are new and still in their sealed plastic sleeves.     Now £35. Various DB strings, including 17 used and 1 new TI Spirocores. 5 x 1st, 4 x 2nd, 5 x 3rd and 3 x 4th. New is a 1st. A set of 4 used Black Tape (nylon) wounds. 2 used randoms. 2 new randoms. Collection in person welcomed but can be posted at additional cost.

    Having now looked at the two recommendations above for alternative suppliers, Strings Direct offer free first class postage on orders over £30 and GAK is £2.94 also for first class. Bass Direct were £2 for second class, not tracked. It still seems a big price hike to me and I will now buy my strings elsewhere.

    Had one of these a while back. Superb travel bass and sounded really good through headphones as well as an amp. It weighed all of 2kgs! £250 is a good price.....

    The new website seems to have bought new pricing! Postage for a set of strings was £2 but now it is £5...! Seems rather an excessive increase. Any suggestions for alternative suppliers?

    I have recently acquired this 2003 AVRI 62 P complete with unopened covers, lead and manuals. It is in very nice condition and sounds lovely with a lightly used set of La Bella LTFs. I think it may stay with me for a while.....

    Great that you have a Jazz, that’s what I started with! Not long after I discovered Precisions........but kept the Jazz....then I discovered....and soon I had a different bass for everyday of the week! Welcome!
