  1. Apologies - no idea how / why I managed to duplicate this post!
  2. It’s rumoured they heard that it was cool to have a cigarette burn or two on an old bass....... What a bad way to wreck what was most likely a very nice bass.

  4. Thanks Jem! You are most welcome to pay me another visit to try this and the LPB Precision......
  5. S’manth bought a PJB C4 cab from me. Payment was super fast, thank you. Unfortunately the little cab had an additional noise that I had not heard during my ownership - needless to say, I was horrified to learn of this. S’manth was incredibly understanding and was determined to seek the source of the noise. During all of our communications she remained extremely friendly (and patient!) and thanks to the great BC community, thankfully, a simple fix was found and I’m delighted to know the cab is now behaving perfectly. My offer of a partial refund to reflect the angst caused was turned down.... what can I say! A real credit to the BC community.
  6. These are great! I recently bought one and love it! The tilt control works really well, as do the other controls. Bargain.
  7. I had one of these in Fiesta Red, sounded really nice! Remarkably good basses for very little money. GLWYS.
  8. Any pictures…..please?
  9. Has this beauty been sold? Great price for a JV.
  10. The bridge ashtray might be genuine!
  11. I keep looking at this....great basses and a tempting price.
  12. That looks to be in excellent condition!
  13. The 3 remaining strings are; E 3/4 Medium 3885.5 D Light S37W G Light S36W.
  14. Grab an absolute bargain! Selling my Jazz Bass recently bought on this Forum. I really wanted to try a Jazz again after being converted to Precisions but whilst it is of course a fantastic bass, I have concluded that I will stick with Precisions - I prefer the wider nut width of Ps but this Jazz does have some nice depth to the neck, whilst remaining the classic 1.5 inch or 38mm width at the nut. It sounds and plays great - it has EMG pups. I didn’t take the Fralin pickups but understand they might still be available from the original seller. For full disclosure...... I am no expert, but didn’t think the bridge, strap buttons or pickguards are original to the bass. Collection in person is welcomed and shipping is an option. The link to the original listing with good pictures is attached. TRADES - Precisions! Custom Shop or American Vintage Reissues considered. Preferably with a maple fingerboard. I can add cash to the deal. I’m not looking for the earlier style (‘51 to ‘57) Precisions. Thank you.
  15. Ian bought a set of flatwounds from me - a perfect transaction throughout! Great communications, instant payment and he kindly let me know when they arrived safely!
  16. Rabbie bought a huge bundle of double bass strings from me. A great transaction, super fast payment and great communications. He was also kind enough to confirm when the package arrived safely!
  17. Lovely! Like @Beedster I had one of these about 15 years ago - really well made and great sounding basses. Sadly, I didn’t have the original case or COA..... Now however, I have the Fender Tweed case and no bass from that period to put in it!! Should have kept the bass! GLWYS.
  18. Hi James. It is new, in fact the packet is still sealed! David
