1. La Bella white nylons are worth a go as well. They have a lovely tone and are a low tension string even though they are quite a heavy gauge.
2. All sorted now, thanks to all who helped
3. Reminds me of Patituci's Yamaha acoustic 6.
4. I guess the Artcore is the closest commercially available bass, at least in terms of body shape and size...
5.
Put that in a different flightcase and I'd be all over it if I had funds. Nice!
I spoke to Leszek about this head and he told me the majority of feedback is that folk want it in a small metal frame, like this but without the rack ears. It would need side handles though
6.
Ooof... I don't need a 100w tube head, but... I think I need one.
A big fat, creamy +1 on that!
7. The clutch kit looks like this. And mounted on the L rod it's like this:
8. Hello Drummer son needs the clutch kit (upper and lower clutches plus respective felts) to use with an L rod. Anyone know where/if these can be bought separately from the cymbal itself? Thanks Gareth
9. PX + cash for a nice small combo or Berg AE112 cab.
10. I've spoken with Danny on a number of occasions Dave. He seems like a decent chap.
11.
ACG's rock! What a beauty. I have a fretless 5 which plays like a dream.
Thanks, yes, it's a great player and sounds amazing.
12.
How can it be the one if it's not on the one?
You've answered your own question. "The one" is indeed the one.
13. Price drop to just £700!!!!
14. I'm in Greg.
15.
chaps, that's 10 inches radius, not degrees.
My bad. I knew that, it's just post New Year haze descending
16. I had an HD210 and loved everything about it apart from the weight. If it had been 10lbs lighter I'd still be using it.
17. I did, and very nice they are too.
18.
How can you guarantee that your print out is accurate though? IME all consumer level printers are between 1 and 2% off when it comes to linear accuracy.
There's a scale on the page, so you adjust print size until it matches that. I just printed the page on my printer at work and it was a perfect match.
19. Love the HH Rays.... have a bump.
20. An easy way is to download and print out some radius guides. The Jerzy Drozd setup guide has some in the appendices. Just make sure you print them out accurately. EDIT: Just found it, it's 10 degrees
21. Bump for another price drop, but I really can't go any lower than this. It's 30% off a brand new bass that is absolutely mint.
