1.
Whoa, hold on a sec. as an admirer of the collection of Wals you've owned in the past - are you saying this is better than the Wal fretless you owned ?
Better? No, just different. This bass has a much more organic, natural, and less "processed" sound than the Wal.
Are those rotodound black nylons she's wearing?
They're La Bellas, and very nice they are too.
 2. Thanks for all the kind words guys. Having now gigged the bass and played it most evenings over the last few weeks, I have to say it is without doubt the best fretless I've ever owned. The sustain is just incredible and the variety of tones lurking inside it is amazing for such a simple setup. I am so pleased with it I want to get a fretted version as well....
 3.
Met Bruce and Rick at Water Rats one Saturday afternoon
I was playing at The White House in Guildford one night and Rick came in, stayed for the first set and then bought us all a pint. Nice guy.

 7.
Only need one and happy with both units (now realising that I don't really need/use the additional power of the 550) so don't mind which sells.
I should have read the first sentence of the ad more carefully!
 8. Very interested in the new one, but why are you selling?

 10. I'm amazed this is still here. I have one of these and it is a superb two channel amps - really versatile, transparent sound, lots of power and extremely LOUD! Bump for a great amp.
 11. Smooth deal. Excellent communciation throughout and a quick payer by Paypal.
 12. This is a really nice heavy duty strap, made by Levys I believe. It's a very heavy duty textured black leather backed by a sort of rust coloured suede pad. About 3" wide, approx 36" to 52" length. Originally had a little Godin logo stitched onto it, which I removed, and you can hardly see it. I'd like £15 posted.
 13. Thanks. I'll PM you now, oh and it's black, as per the original post title.
 14. Thinking about it there's a certain amount of give in the strap when you put a bass on it, so the few cm or so between the hole and ends of the strap will be different anyway. If you're really particular about how long your straps are this may not be the right one for you!?
 15.
Hi there, Is the 36" from end to end or from the pin holes? If you get my meaning...I'm very fussy about strap length! Jamie
I'm not sure as I lifted the text from the Levys site! I'll measure and get back to you.

 17. Used but in very good condition. Adjustable from 36" to 52". UK price seems to be £17. How about a tenner posted?
 18.
Thanks Gareth. Glad you're enjoying it. Flattery won't get you a better deal on the next one you know (no, actually, thinking about it, it might). Phil
Thanks Phil. Make sure you add pictures of your acoustic to the thread as well!

 20.
The only problem that I can think of is that you may find that you are little too quiet and mellow when played unplugged. If you're using the bass plugged in then it's probably fine , I've got black nylon flats on my acoustic fretless, unplugged- dull and quiet, plugged -cavernous.
+1 to that. If you only play unplugged then rounds are a necessity, and I would recommend Elixirs, but if you are plugging in then flats are an excellent choice.
 21. Some more photos, taken this morning.
 22.
Very nice.....looks like LaBella strings? A lovely simple design that lets you get on with the playing - enjoy. On a different topic - where did you get on the amp setup?
Yep, La Bella strings indeed. Very nice they are too. Have decided to keep my current Markbass LMK and two EA cabs. Too mch of a hit, financially, to sell any of it in current climes.
