1. Excellent condition Markbass LMK two channel amp, bought new from The Gallery earlier this year (I still have the receipt). Each channel has the following eq:

LOW (centre frequency: 40 Hz; level: ±16 dB)
LOW MID (centre frequency: 360 Hz, level: ±16 dB)
HIGH MID (centre frequency: 800 Hz, level: ±16 dB)
HIGH 10 kHz shelf; level -16 dB
Variable Pre-shape Filter - classic smiley bass and treble boost with a centre frequency cut at 380 Hz
Channel 1 also has the Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator, which is basically a treble cut WIDTH 10.87 in. / 27.6 cm DEPTH 10in. / 25.6 cm HEIGHT 2.8 in. / 7.1 cm WEIGHT 6.39 lbs / 2.9 kg OUTPUT POWER 300W RMS @ 8 ohm, 500W RMS @ 4 ohm Clean and loud. A few light scratches here and there but nothing untoward and absolutely no issues. Includes MB footswitch (channel select/mute). £735 new including the footswitch. I'd like £445 plus postage (in MB box). Only selling as I now have the more acoustic-friendly (i.e. notch filter, phase and phantom powered mic input) EA Doubler. I'll give it a week on here before it goes to eBay.
 2. Classic. I particularly like the way the designers have included ventilation holes in it!
 3.
So, I've bought a nice EUB a few months ago, just for curiosity, as I've never played such a thing - fretless, different approach, and stuff.. But, actually, I'm not planning (and have never thought of it) to specialize in it (EUB/DB).. It's all fun, but as my passion is electric bass, and, especially, as now I have fretless electric made for me, and I have a hell lot of other things to do in music, like piano, rhythm studies, bass, transcription work, and such.. and I'm mainly concerned in jazz music (sight-reading, phrasing), I thought, maybe it would be better to spend my 'double bass time' on such instrument like trumpet, or saxophone.. What do you, guys, think, is there any reason, why I shouldn't abandon double (EUB) bass? Cheers, Faith
If it expands your musical voice then keep it. Cheers Gareth
 4.
Yes, he says so in the video.
Oops, must have missed that!
 5. Excellent job. Seems the distortion kicks from a very low gain setting? Odd question, but do these amps come with a cover? Cheers Gareth
 6. I have a mesage out to a friend of mine re. the Bassbone as he lusts after the one I have. Hopefully he'll take it off your hands.
 7. Awesome basses. If you want that lovely fretlessacousticupright tone these nail it. I had one and only sold it to get my Veillette.
 8.
Gareth..... I'll honour your first dibs but if you dont have it I will, and I'll get my Nephew to pick it up for me.... Bob.
Hey Bob, how's the PRS? Looks like it's been sold
 9. I have to say the pictures really don't do it justice. It's absolutely stunning in person, and the "smokeburst" really works against the koa.
 10. Obviously made in Asia for that price. I like the look of the Prince II though; I'd be quite happy playing Faces covers all day on that.
 11. Take it to Joe White in Ash Vale, he'll sort you out.
 12.
Mine is a fretless 4 with ebony neck and bridge, spruce top, and koa back and sides, all made to look a bit mysterious and moody by a transparent smoke tint.
Looks like the folks at Veillette have beaten you to it Phil!
 13. Cello is CGDA in fifths isn't it?
 14. Would this take one bass with a straight headstock and one with an angled one?
 15.
you could always buy this and return the doubler!!!!
I coul, but the Doubler is actually the better choice for me as the feature set is more suited to acoustic instruments, of which I have a majority.
 16. I'd have it as a back up if I had the spare moolah.
 17. I just bought a Doubler after missing out on this! Bugger Best of luck with the sale.
 18.
Phil, you mean you have one of these ? http://www.flickr.com/photos/bassplayermag...in/photostream/
Yes those are the ones. I played Phil's when I picked up the Archtop, and it was truly lovely.
 19.
After bass I went on to mandolin. Small but it does chuck the sound out a bit. Not louder than an acoustic guitar though. And the 8 strings are strung like an upside down 8 string bass (or a violin!) so it comes a bit easier than uke which is strung like a madman!
Similar experience for me. I went for a tenor guitar but then settled on bouzouki and octave mandolins as the neck width is about the same as a four string bass, the scale length is also longer, and you can get going very quickly making some very pleasant noises in the process. Only thing to remember is they're tuned in fifths not fourths, so playing single note lines is quite different. Overall though, anything from the mandolin family is a great second choice of instrument!
 20.
Just curious: you have a Doubler already, so why get a Micro too?
Sorry for the misunderstanding. My sig should actually read Doubler on the way; I'll have it next week. I'm not getting a Micro as well.
 21.
Verrrry nice. Just about perfect looks for me and 19mm spacing too. The only thing I could think of that might make it even more perfect would be a 2nd mag pickup. We must arrange that A/B session with my RA Deep 5 some time when the weather is a bit less of a pain. Andy
Thanks Andy. Yes, an AB session would be good as I've always loved Rob's basses. Drop me a PM when the snow clears?
 22. I'm a numpty about such things; is this footswitch dual momentary?
 23. I have one on order and should have it by the end of next week. I'm hoping it will be the perfect matchup for my EA cabs and allow me to ditch my very good, but butt ugly, Markbass LMK.
 24.
Wider than a Wal, my guess is 18mm.
Measured it last night and it's 19mm.
 25. Mmm, tempting. How heavy is it?
