1. I see you are Warwick endorsed. What are you/they replacing this with?
2.
Mine was a joke about the 2 HBP-1's you seem to be selling
Ah yes, the mysterious duplicate post. I asked mods to delete when I spotted it.
3.
Which one is better
It's the whole package of the combo and extension cab that appeals, compact and loud, plus the tubey goodness.....
4. OK, I just bought this used in the US as I wanted a tube front end, but what I really wanted is a Mesa Walkabout rig, and sod's law meant one popped up the very day I bought the Demeter! Demeter HBP1 tube bass preamp. Very highly regarded in the US. Details are here. I should have the preamp by the end of the week as I'm just waiting to get the letter to pay the customs charges. The unit is in very good condition with some minor rack rash. Not looking to turn a profit on this, but if anyone wants it this will be available for £500 plus postage for as long as Pete's Walkabout Combo and cab are for sale. Cheers Gareth

7. Now that I have gone from EA to Demeter , I have two Micro/Doubler accessories available: First up is a footswitch made for me by Max at sfx. It's a mute and channel select, and also comes with a 2m lead. Second is a DI breakout cable (cable length is 20cm) made by OBBM, allowing you to use a regular XLR cable to go to the PA. The footswitch is brand new, definitely ungigged, and works perfectly. The breakout cable has never been used. This cost me about £75 for the lot. I'd like £50 posted (regular 1st class) for this top quality, brand new, BC-made kit. Cheers Gareth
8. If you'd posted this 8 hours earlier I'd have bought it instead of getting a Demeter pre and power amp. Bum...
9.
There are very few power amps that bridge into 4-ohms. Most QSC do however. I used to have a PLX1602, it was excellent and bridgeable into 4-ohms. 2U x 19-inch.
The guys at Crown tell me their XLS series are ok at 4 as well, even thought they don't list it on their site!
10. Thanks chaps. Yes, familiar with Powersoft but just dismissed them as being out of my price range (for now). The 1u light weight amp goal isn't critical; 2u is fine, new or used, ideally something reasonably light that is lower powered in stereo but stable bridged at 4 and 8 ohms, putting 800 and 400 watts out respectively.
11. Hello folks OK, I have two cabs, both 8 ohms, a 1x12 and a 2x10 rated 350 and 500 watts respectively. What would be a good power amp to put with these? I've heard from various sources that MOSFET amps are best for bass, but I have been using digital amps for a while and not thought they lacked anything; in fact the bridged Peavey DPC1400X I used to have used bridged into an Epifani 2x12 was the best tone I have ever had! So, I am open to Class D, and in fact a light 1u power amp would be my ideal option. I'm happy to get a lower powered stereo amp and run it bridged, or buy a mono power amp, to get the requisite degree of power and headroom. Ideally I'd like to get something for under £300, so used is probably the most likely route. I'd prefer a name brand, such as Crown or QSC, and have seen good prices on the XLS402 (can these run bridged at 4 ohms) and PLX 1602. Any thoughts? Cheers Gareth
12. On hold for someone while they check their finances.
13. Probably won't sell anyway as the market is SO slow right now.....
14.
?
I know, but the Demeter itch must be scratched!
15. Hi Jan Rather than constantly creating new posts to sell the same items, why not just bump the original? Cheers Gareth
16. Much as I love this amp, a Demeter setup is calling me, so with some reluctance I am selling my Euphonic Audio Doubler. This is pretty much brand new, having been gigged once and rehearsed with twice. New UK price is £599, I'm looking for £505 posted. Weighs just 1.2kg (2lb 10oz). Full details on the EA website here, and a copy of the manual is here. No trades thanks, unless you have a Demeter HBP1 preamp kicking around. Tryouts in NE Hampshire welcome, or collection in Central London. Cheers Gareth
17. Nothing to see here, move along....
18. As it says up top, what are they like? Realistic option as a tube pre, or only really any good as a overdrive effect?
19. Although I have had a couple of expressions of interest for this cab, given the total lack of interest in the 1x12 I also have for sale I've decided to just keep them both.
