  1. I sold a cab to Freddie. A super smooth sale. Great comms throughout and he even offered to put down a deposit. Happy to recommend to the BC community
  2. A super simple transaction completed for a Boss wireless. Rosie sent me the unit to check I was happy before I had to pay a penny! A credit to Basschat
  3. That is very sad news. One of those companies who absolutely nailed it (in a good way).
  4. Thanks for the comments folks. Funnily enough I ended up returning the footswitch anyway as I decided it was an unnecessary accessory 👍
  5. After much experimentation over the last few months, I have now settled on my preferred strings for each of my basses, so these unused sets are all up for sale. All prices are posted per set, but happy to combine and discount for multiple purchases. GHS Pressurewound (39.25" winding and custom made to fit Dingwall basses and imported from the US) - £40 3 x Newtone Platinum nickel roundwounds on round cores - (2 x 37" and 1 x 38" ball end to taper) - £35 SOLD 2 x GHS Brite Flat groundwounds (38" ball end to taper) - £38 1 x Elites Groundwounds (38" apart from the B, which is 37.25" I think) - £30 Thanks for looking.
  6. That looks the biz, thank you!
  7. My new GR Bass Dual head has a footswitch that uses an ethernet cable. My experience of these cables is they likely aren't very suitable for lying on a stage floor; they're won't lose their coil or lie flat, and will stay a trip hazard as a result. Anyone know of any ethernet cables that are more like a guitar lead, so suitable for life on the floor of a stage? Or maybe I should invest in something like this instead?
  8. SOLD I've had this on my board for a few months and it works flawlessly. It's in excellent condition. Only selling as I am moving away from a pedalboard setup. Stock image below, plus a picture of the actual unit on my pedalboard (all of which will be up for sale shortly). £150 posted in mainland UK.
  9. I use the Access FX1 bag and it is superb. Would easily fit all of your kit apart from possibly the bass bar stand? Hard to find in the UK though I think. What about the Thomann Producer or Accessory Bag Pro. They look decent.
  10. Thanks Nik. Much appreciated. Hope all is good with you and yours.
  11. Given my impending redundancy I am thinning my collection of music gear, and here we have two of these most excellent cabs for sale, handmade in Germany by Hans Struck. Both are in very good to mint condition and come with high quality padded sleeves custom-made by Hot Covers here in the UK. Pricing these is difficult as they are rare in the UK, and to import them now from Germany would (I believe) attract import duties as well as shipping. I am asking £500 for the 1210 and £300 for the 112, and they are collection only. 120UL - SOLD This cab has a 12" neo speaker at the bottom and a 10" neo speaker at the top. There is no tweeter. Power handling is 600 watts RMS and the dimensions are 65.5cm high, 41.5cm wide and 41 cm deep. The actual weight of this cab is 17.5 kg with the cover on. Impedance 4 ohms. To quote the FMC site "The speaker sounds more powerful than a 210, it has the transparency of the 10" and the bulkiness and centre focus of the 12" speaker. Altogether a modern and open-sounding box with plenty of depth. New price in Germany is €754 (£641). A really good one cab solution for small to medium size pubs and suchlike. 112UL As simple as it gets, this cab has a 12" neo speaker. There is no tweeter. Power handling is 300 watts RMS and the dimensions are 45cm high, 42cm wide and 41 cm deep. The actual weight of this cab is 11.2 kg with the cover on. Impedance 8 ohms. To quote the FMC site "Super light 1x12" boxes with small dimensions. Equipped with neodymium speakers from the brand manufacturer Sica. With our innovative downfire bass reflex system, a voluminous bass that is also sufficient for 5 strings. The forced mids make the speaker very easy to locate in the band structure. New price in Germany is €545 (£463). Perfect for rehearsals and small gigs.
  12. Gotoh GB528 ResOLite tuners are smaller and lighter.
  13. It was a pleasure to help Oli create a rig that will cause seismic pleasure across the country!
  14. I sold Oli an amp and, once again, he was an absolute pleasure to deal with.
  15. I aim to please I use one on my board to power a 12V pedal and it works a treat.
  16. Not sure what the available power from the TRex is but could you just add a Gigrig supa-nova to convert a 9v supply to 12v?
  17. Yes, time for me to pull mine from the ads section and just keep enjoying it!
  18. I’m out right now but yes 5mm sounds about right for a non-padded one.
  19. I would highly recommend these: https://www.thomann.co.uk/thomann_safecase_80_e_bass_bag.htm
  20. A slight aside, but I saw Zak when he was playing in the Moody Marsden band and he was really rather good. In fact, with Jaz Lochrie on bass that band was really very good.
