1. Anybody interested in owning one of these? Very nice pedal I bought a while back but I'm not going to be needing it and need the money... In good condition (bit of a scratch and a nick on the front, nothing major), original box, power supply & instructions. Looking for £70 inc delivery (it's pretty heavy).
2. Yeah, got this on ebay now. Need to get rid asap! ebay link
3. Sorry guys If it tickles your fancy, I'm willing to sell these parts seperately.
4. Bump - more info added. Forgot I had the footswitch too.
5. What sort of prices would second hand SVT3 and 4s go for?
6.
Can't get more perfect than a P bass + orange/ampeg really, gotta agree with the people here. A Stingray'd work too. Help us out, what's your price range here?
Not overly sure yet, it depends how much I get for the gear I'm selling to pay for it... but at a guess, about £1k. How much do second hand SVT 3 Pro sell for?
7. I like the sound of Orange or Ampeg... a bit out of my price range though. Cheaper alternatives?
8. I just sold my sansamp bddi... I tried it with a couple of different amp/bass combinations and I wasn't feeling it at all. I want to avoid using pedals, hence why I'm after a top amp that will do it.
9. I used to have MM Stingry but I didn't want to bash it up! I did originally want an active OLP, and I do need another bass, hopefullly soon, but I do think my current OLP will be up to the job as well if I find the right amp.
10. Hey guys, I'm looking to change my rig and need a few ideas and suggestions. Soundwise I'm looking for something similar to Converge and Architects... so heavy, with clarity and overdrive. I'm willing to pay a fair whack to get the right stuff, but I'd also like to be able to try stuff out. I've been recommended me a Tech21 Landmark head and they sound very nice and along the lines of what I'm looking for. I'm thinking of Mark Bass and Mesa stuff but I think Mesa may be a tad out of my price range. Ideally I'd like to try stuff out, so if anybody could tell me of places that has this stuff to try out, I'm willing to travel (I'm in the East Midlands, so closer the better). At the moment I'm using an OLP MM (but I'm thinking of getting a Fender Jazz at some point too) and an Ashdown EVOIII 500... it's a bit nice sounding for me, but at least I can hear myself over the loud drummer and even louder guitarist. I'm fairly new to bass playing really, having been a guitarist for 8 or so years, and I'm a total noob when it comes to equipment and there's so much gear out there, I need a bit of guidance from the experts please

SOLD

Yeah, so I've decided I don't really need this after all and I'm trying to convince myself the less equipment I have on stage, the better (less things to go wrong)! I paid £110 delivered for it off here a few months back, so I would like the same Edit: forgot the pic...

15.
A good idea for getting function - wedding gigs is to find a pub in a nice area of your city- where people with money go - and see the landlord. Tell him you`ll do gigs there for a small amount- we started on £250- but theres 7 of us. We are now on £300 plus free drinks- we play there every month. The main reason we did this is to get bookings for parties, weddings, functions etc What a great initiative for getting well paying gigs - weve had loads of them and also lots of great nights in the venue! really works. Bob
Fantastic advice there! I've been looking to join a covers/function band, doesn't seem to be much around the Midlands so far. But me and a friend are thinking of starting our own, and what you've said should come in handy!
16. I concur with what others have said. I've done 1 tour and drove for a friend's band in Europe as well and every gig the band was guaranteed money, got food, drinks and accomodation as well. The sh*t thing is, you're lucky to get a bloody pizza in the UK.
17. Most of it's been said but yeah, it's sh*t when people just turn up expecting to use your stuff and, even worse, just using it without asking. Another thing that annoys me incredibly, is, after you generously allow someone to use your expensive guitar head, they go and stick a pint on top of it whilst they're playing. I'm no expert, but some people are infuriatingly clueless (and usually talentless). When I started gigging with my new band, I'll be taking my beat up Laney cab rather than my nice Ashdown ones. The Laney's quite cumbersome, but it's done 100s of gigs and been thrown around all over the shop but is still going strong and sounds fantastic. However, we won't ever be headlining, so it's unlikely I'll be needing it anyway, but it's always good to have something as backup in case of either breakage or there being no cab when you get there. When I was promoting shows, and usually when arranging shows for my old band, I would always email/call the promoter (or headline band) to sort out backline beforehand. It's not hard, just costs a few minutes of your time.
18. As nice as it is, for me, that is some guy playing guitar on a bass, not playing bass.

21. I've got an Ashdown EVOIII 500 and a 410 and 115, spot on for heavy music. Usually use the cabs at the practice rooms, so it's a bit hit and miss quality wise, but I have a loud vocalist, very loud guitar player and with my head turned up just under halfway, I'm clearly audible.
22. Hmm not heard of this and in the last week I've sold nearly 30 things on ebay - only 3 people have left me feedback so far and I've just transferred a large amount of money from my Paypal account to my bank account.
