1. Nice warm tube pre with mute, plenty of headroom: 300 watts @ 8ohm 500 @ 4 ohm and lots of tonal variation with the EQ, VPF and VLE controls. MarkBass quality build. A few surface marks only. Comes in aluminium case and I'll include a neutrik speakon/Jack lead. Looks very pretty when powered up with the lights in between each module. £350 posted in UK. I am open to offers and very interested in trading px with a digitech jamman stereo or vocalist pedal such as harmony g or to helicon. Pics below.
2. That is, quite frankly, the silliest price for a bass of that quality.
3. Someone who uses a music stand.
4.
I guess the "professional" answer would be "Counting"
No, the professional would be adjusting their music stand......
5.
On the clip I saw, I thought the bass sounded great. And quite a groovy bassline
Mate you're skating on thin ice round here with comments like that....
6. No worries :-) Sure you can't post? Bike shops often have good boxes for guitars......
7. Would love this back.... Alas, I'm nowhere near London and don't have any of the things you'd trade it for, unless a brand new TC Ditto-x2 with PSU tickled your fancy?
8. Being able to recognise by ear, intervals, chord progressions and the "quality" of a chord (minor/major/dom7/etc) has been the single most useful thing for me when being asked to play with others, particularly for the first time. I read, but have only been asked to read dots once in 35 years. I'm afraid to say as I hate musicals, I tend not to go for pit work, as I'm likely to walk out the moment someone starts to sing what they should just @**#$ say. All the Jazz stuff I do is with chord charts, as I tend only to play standards, and not the more grown up high brow stuff. I think Doddy is right, reading gives you more options. If you can't read then being able to hear and recognise what is being played can be quite handy too.
9. If only you lived south west way!!
10. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/244688-two-seven-strings/ Looks interesting and seems a good price too.
11. Mad price! Great bass!
12. I had the amp and cab separates with a matching 4x10. Really solid built gear, indestructible with loads of tonal options. Only sold when I went all "light weight" with more double bass gigs, GLWS
13. Huuuuge sound!! GLWTS If I was still playing bass I'd have this back.
14. Alright Paul? I think this may have been mine at one point, if not had exactly the same model. HUUUUGE P bass sound and very comfy to play. John
15.
I had one of these years ago - upgrade the pickups and you've got yourself a SUPERB machine!
Thanks Paul, it is a well built instrument (feels indestructible to me) and the stock pups are pretty lively as is, so an upgrade would indeed ramp up the quality. Someone take off my hands what is the last bass I own, I'm open to offers. Trades would be ideal, but it looks as though it'll end up as a cash deal. I've got an mp3 of the various tonal options I can email, if somebody wants to hear and have a laugh at my playing. I don't know how to post it here, I've tried but failed several times.
16. Available for money now....no trades forthcoming. £140 collected add £15 pp
17.
money?
82 JV P....? :-) Money is a very last option, and I've a few bodies lined up for that including yer good self ;-) . Sadly any money will only go into the endless pit that is the house moving account. :-(

21.
Groove fretless will appear later this eve too...
Oh Lordy, your not helping with my "get rid of all basses" policy Merts!!
