1. Thanks for that
2. There's a way to keep your current strings, but with a more neutral colour. Dip the silks in black dye, leave them to dry, rinse them off, leave to dry again, apply to bass ... Job done. If it's only the colour of the silks that you don't like, if you're ok with them being black, and you're happy with the sound and feel of the strings otherwise, then it's an option. Cheaper and less risky than buying a new set of strings that you're unfamiliar with. I dyed the silks on a set of Ernie Ball Cobalt flats in this way. Dyed the purple silk to black. It worked absolutely fine.
3. Just wondering if somebody could advise me on this ... I've just bought a Roland Bass Micro Cube RX (you know, the tiny 5W practice combo). It was 2nd hand, and doesn't have a PSU with it. The current draw for the combo (according to Roland) is 186 mA. The technical specs for the recommended adapter are as follows ... Model: PSB-1U Input: 100-240V, 0.4A, 50-60Hz Output: +9.0V AC 2A 18W MAX Center Negative Now, I have a redundant 9V PSU that I think might work, but I would like some advice from the forum first, in case there's something that I'm missing, or not understanding correctly. The PSU that I have is a Boss switching adapter, specs as follows. Would it work? Model: PSA-230ES Input: 100-240V- 50-60Hz 250mA Output: 9V AC 0.5A 4.5W Center Negative What say ye's?

9.
From my experience of buying and selling online I'd advise you not to try to sell your gear as a job lot. I would suggest you list everything individually.
This

12. I just sold a valve preamp to Steve (formerly Bassman Steve, of this parish). Easy comm's, fast payment, all good!
13. I'm after a synthy gated fuzz. It's going to be used with active basses. Also, I'll be jamming it between a Markbass octaver and MXR Bass Envelope Filter, to milk the synthtasticness of it. Thinking along the lines of the Mastotron, or Fat Fuzz Factory. I love the sound of the Team Awesome Fuzz Machine too ... you get my drift. Which other fuzz pedals fall into that hemisphere? It's got to be active-friendly, mind 🤙🏻 What are your suggestions folks?
14. Bought a Markbass Super Synth from Kyle. Straight up Basschatter. Nae worries 🙂
15. I just bought a pedal from Roger. Top guy to deal with. Good comm's, and meticulous packing. All good!

18. Sensational. That is a thing of beauty, to be sure.
19. I must say. I was so impressed by these that I've now put them on all my basses. it's subjective, of course, but ... BEST STRINGS EVER
20. Basically, I'm looking for a Zvex Fuzz Factory, but given the limited 2nd hand market, I'm after recommendations on similar Fuzz pedals. Synthy, and beefy, like the Fuzz Factory, and definitely gated. What's out there that's similar? Thanks in advance, folks
21. In answer to the original question, for anyone who might still be interested ... I've had my new £6.91 set of tuners on a bass for a couple of days now, playing the hell out of it. They are absolutely fine. No complaints whatsoever. In terms of gearing, they feel like the 1:20 ratio Schallers I'm used to. The turning action is smooth, and the overall finish is decent enough, although not as nice as you'd find on a more expensive set, sure. The said tuners ... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151848365468
22.
Ace opportunity! Many thanks
No probs man. I hope you got them. You could pop the wee metal disc with the Westone logo straight into one of those. They are the same tuners as are already on your bass.
23. Here's a set of Vantage (another Matsumoku make, of the same era) tuners for sale. Re-branded Gotoh's ... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/291113-vantage-gotoh-tuners-22-2-full-sets-to-give-away/page__pid__3125160#entry3125160
