Yes yes yes!!!! Ace isn't it
I bloody love it :-).... It works great with other dirts and effects into it as well ( not that you would need to mind)
All should try 1
Hi Dan.
I was actually debating asking you about the bdpg! In 2 minds about it? ( not sure if it will be to dirty for my board/set up?)
I'll wait a little to see what else comes if that's ok.:-)
TRADE PENDING! It Sucks I'm doing this as this is easily the best fuzz I have ever used!tons of great comments etc on Bc.
' apparently ' fuzz doesn't work to well in our songs!! Hmm....(our guitardist uses a lot of octave and drive) far to good a pedal just for me to use at home.
With the mids knob and blend this thing can cut thru the mix with ease.
Only had it a few weeks and only been at rehearsals thrice..... So is as new.and considering the 8 week build wait (as with tom's pedals was well worth it).
This has (as far as I know) a custom resin finish
Pics up later
Trade for preamps ( tone hammer ideally) or a decent comp, mainly markbass
I have the matt freeman 1
Popped in some dimarzio dp's in it and anew kiorgan loom....fantastic, My go to bass :-)
bar the weak stock pups, the neck, feel and sound of this bass is awsome!
Won't find better for the price anywhere imo
This fulfills my needs lovely. I play in a 3 piece loud band ( bit queens of the stone age esq)
I use 1 channel as nearly always on,the other as a boost and the fuzz for the simple doom ;-)
There is a endless amount of options by mixing the pedals and changing the 66's internal diode selector ( it sure is fab).although I prefer the tarkin sound on its own when engaged.
So ideal if you need drive options :-)
Peter was an absolute gent to deal with.
held s2 packs of strings for me until payday.
great coms and fast delivery.
would certainly deal with him again :#)
I have this 1. And subtly used it sounds great.
I have had it nearly a year and no probs. The pots n knobs do feel cheep...... But who cares at that price ans sound :-)
the vt bass is far from scooped imo (can get massive mids out of it) ..... the bass driver is though!
this is my set up ,in front is miles better.
i swaped my preamp tube for a premium jj ecc803 and it sounds bloomin lovley :-)
Received this dirty mother in the post on Thursday to go alongside my knightfall66.........
sounds awesome! Used it at practice and to be able to find a fuzz that cuts through the mix is fab.
done and dusted for dirt now I think! Gas can do 1
Tom sure is the man :-)
sweet........ i will recive my grand tarkin this wed/thursday. and after reading that im more excited than ever :-)
with it next to my knightfall66 i think i should be done n dusted for dirt , happy days :-)
Folks and threds were saying I should have a p bass loom made by John....
I thought it wouldn't make much of a difference in sound, wrong! It made my dimarzio on my Matt Freeman absolutely sing :-)
paid for it on Friday.....it was made and sent received this morning ( less than a day) fantastic!
top bloke to deal with.
1989 ( I think) post lawsuit matsumoka tokai hardpuncher.
comes with original maple neck + a mighty mite that's fitted now.
pickups upgraded to a high end pair fRom a celinder bass. gotoh 201 bridge.
a bit of buckle rash and a few small dings ( not bad for an old bass) I have an ashtray cover for it.the maple neck has thin frets on it( feels like in the middle of a fretless and a fretted,it's not been on in a while so might need a tweak(might?)
the mighty neck was chipped when changing the nut.... was repaired and does not effect the feel/playing in the slightest.
slim neck and quite a light bass.
looking to trade or sale.
any questions please ask.happy to post :-)
I use it ( always on) as a pre Fed straight into my input, keep my amp settings flat.
use....
volume 1 o clock
mid and high at noon
bass at 1
gain at 11
character 10-11
for me that is a wonderful sound.... + these pedals love dirt after them :-)
