  1. wouldn't surprise me, behringer have really upped their act recently especially with the XAir series
  2. Just wow....that is all! ok perhaps I should add a bit to that. Gigged with them last night and I can't believe the difference it made to my sound. Superb clarity and zing (they are stainless steels after all), I could actually hear clearly what I was playing in my v loud rock trio. Lovely lovely growl from my Jazz (which I was beginning to worry I wasn't getting on with, it was just a string change!) The other thing was the tension on them is just perfect, a bit looser than Im used to and I absoloutely loved that. £25 a set from Amazon worldwide. I used to hate paying what I considered too much for strings and didn't believe it made a difference in the sound, well, I've been proved wrong, strings make a huge difference, I just hope they last.
  3. Look Ye no further..RCF...4 XLR inputs, effects £135 https://www.djanddiscostuff.com/sound-c16/mixing-desks-c17/passive-c79/l-pad-8cx-8-channel-mixing-console-with-effects-p4159/s4364?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=rcf-professional-audio-l-pad-8cx-8-channel-mixing-console-with-effect&utm_campaign=product%2Blisting%2Bads&gclid=CjwKCAjw-4_mBRBuEiwA5xnFIFsktNohoOMFf9pTGZhvV9a3-R5r0W-42VEaDw32--WbV5RIPbs_RRoCYNsQAvD_BwE
  4. Im gigging an old peavey TNT 130 tonight in a medium sized pub, used it last week as well, seriously loud, holds up against a marshall 100W and 410, cost me £90 including fitting castors and handles, weighs as much as a small planet, but its easier to travel with than my Ampeg stack. If you're on a budget you can't go wrong with these, they're bombproof. something like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peavey-TNT150-amplifier-1-x-15-speaker-Bass-combo-amp-150W-4ohms/123742934839?hash=item1ccfa75737:g:TncAAOSwN0hcvNdm
  5. I left some old strings overnight in a container with some isopropyl alcohol, wow what a difference, like new again, but I don't know for how long.
  6. ah yeah I forgot about him!
  7. I don't think I've ever seen a genuine bass from the 60's or 70's with the patina of years on the road that looks as bashed up as a heavy relic, they appear to me at least as fake as an ERG politicians promise. I couldn't bring myself to go for a light relic either, feels a bit like a personalised number plate on a Ford Mondeo, but each to their own..
  8. just over £300 too, seems a good price.
  9. if dunc doesn't have 'em, I will
