  1. The Babicz FCH-3
  2. This bridge resolves it 👍🏼
  3. Only way close without a pick is to have slightly longer nails on your index and middle...but the idea of that technique for a prolonged period sets my teeth on edge. as BRX says, it’s not a “solvable with eq” situation. I suppose if you had a compressor or Hard limiter on in the chain, you could get the hard stop...but you’d have a really odd bass sound - the thing with Lounge Act (my favourite Nirvana bass part) is that it’s the dirt/grit and plumminess of the Gibson bass through an SVT - I’d say try to master it with a pick...it’s a bit of a finger twister initially so if you’ve come this far...
  4. Sorry 😆
  5. It’s a discontinued urban double bag. I’ve had a couple over the years...this one has had a much easier life so has lasted 6 or so years and still looks new.
  6. It fits in my Fender Urban bag. Just.
  7. I always liked the idea of being able to totally fine tune the set up. I’ve only had one bass with one of these, and I set it once and left it. So I suppose if you stick to the same strings etc, a decent setup by a pro luthier would be a more sensible option than hacking the old nut out... they are available in appropriate colour/size now though...
  8. Do you find the Finish changes from deep turquoise to denim blue and then like a metallic Grey in different lights? Tempted by a red in the new year - if I bump into one...
  9. I was torn - love how the Hipshot looks - but love the proportions of the Babicz
  10. It came with a machined “shim” so it basically sits on top of the ferrules In full contact.
  11. Yeah, acoustically louder, more depth to sound - more robust. need to do a full set up when new strings arrive. also, weighs about 4 times more than standard 3 point, so alleviates the neck dive issue these basses are known for.
  12. Magic.
  13. Yeah - will show you in a bit 😉
  14. Better adjustment on string to string height, also about 10mm more intonation travel...but I always feel that there’s a lot of body space and it’s a bit bigger. Also, once it’s on - the bolts hold the bridge in place. The epi one will just fall off when you remove the strings.
  15. Whey!
  16. Looks like a 1990’s Jackson/Charvel Thunderbird
  17. Not mine - got very close to buying this last night...but it’s on FB marketplace, Guy is a really nice bloke - if I’d not bought my Casady last week, I’d have had this. It’s gorgeous. He’s in Leeds.
  18. You beat me to it hahaha
  19. I don’t mind the star bass. Would love to see a Casady 5 but done properly. I’d have a C on mine rather than a low B. I’m sure a decent luthier could do one. Mesinger/Marcuzyck do the Joker - looks similar to the smaller Yammy.
  20. But the east Jaffa, looks like a pelican trying to swallow a wire coat hanger. So, sorry, I’m out.
  21. They’re a bit bling for me...but the jazz box looking doofer was to try and replicate the Wes Montgomery and Charlie Christian type Jazz guitar sounds.
  22. No “rolls eyes” response 😒 you naughty boy
  23. Same with the 2 YGD John Pattitucci models
