  1. I’ve done about 8 basses, of which I’ve sold 4…
  2. Pickguards are at local depot…bloody bank holiday blah blah blah…
  3. Haha, I need to sort the EQ now as they’re very different sounding cabs and I need the guitar and keys in the room.
  4. These have been sat in the studio part of our rehearsal room for as long as I’ve been in the band. The studio section was full of gear, and as the studio user moved gear out with our help… The cabs remain. Today I was informed they were left behind for me. very cool - look unused and sound great. 210/410. Turned the horn off on the 410. Sound really well; I’ll enjoy this setup - I missed 10’s. I am sad the Orange 112’s will go - they’re ace, but I’m not into collecting cabs and amps.
  5. I can research boxes…they’re not too heavy really for shipping
  6. How do, have changed cabs due to inheritance of a 610 rig (in lieu of work done for a fellow player) bought these in March 2024 one was brand new, one was used but pristine from Richtone. Played at rehearsal (indie, not thrash death metal) and 2 or 3 gigs. very good condition £250 each. Haven’t got any boxes for these so collection is needed really. i’d like to keep them - but I won’t use them at home and i haven’t really got space. Could be tempted for a trade with a nice Acoustic bass. But sorted for most things. As ever, I’m and idiot so I’ll listen to trades - but I’d like the money to fill the coffers back up.

    Pairs

Update on pairs on the stairs New (to me) White BB414 Soloking’s from Andertons recent blow out.
  8. I’ve got one of these - I had to repair the neck after an over enthusiastic 2 year old used it as a trampoline. still sounds very good.
  9. Yeah, shoved some skinny rounds on it as I hate roto flats.
  10. Them’s for these
  11. A little muted
  12. Found it…
  13. There’s an ointment for that
  14. Well… I love 51’/tele basses. Had a very nice custom shop “sting” and have had a MIJ reissue at some point. Saw this on a facebook page and just went for it. Thanks to @walshyfor doing the middleman bit. So spec is Fender neck - stripped, nitro refin guitarbuild ash body, nitro BSB fralin pickup Gotoh reverse machineheads bakelite pickguard bakelite saddles etc some posh pots and capacitors etc. Fender covers all slot-head screws as per early 51’s needs some tweaks to suit, but it’s ace. slightly heavy at 10.5lbs…but it’s a resonant chunk.
  15. Perfectly serviceable basses mate; you’d spend £100 on a knackered squier
  16. You got any spare strings? I had a guy buy a Jackson Soloist from my shop years ago and I chased this buzz for about 2 days. i took the strings off to inspect/level the frets… the string had a kink in it.
  17. Righto - good news Earlpilanz (Brian) has messaged me and the pickguard is a “category 2” size - I paid for category 3 - so I got some money back. fair play to him for being up front; again why I use him frequently. he has mine - so if you want one doing, it’s the time.
  18. Yeah - he’s sort of on and off, he’s plenty busy. email him now - mine got posted off today, happy for him to template from mine
  19. I remember well, damn fine bass.
  20. No - they didn’t reply, so I’ve just ordered via an eBay pickguard guy I’ve used before.
  21. They’ve grown on me. I might feel differently when the pickguards are changed. i have a drawer full of controls…maybe jazz style knobs will work.
